It was a once monthly event but they had a terrible turnout two months ago i think it was (bout 4 cars) and subsequent posts on the jap performance uk yahoo mailing group has received little/no support.

I think they are planning one for August.

From my pov the first ones were good, lots of friendly people, nice cars, the odd spirited drive etc, then as it got busier it just vanished up its own backside with idiots doing donuts about three feet from parked cars + the public. Was time to leave for me attracts far too much unwanted attention.

Yep me too I did go along a few times with Pete Holt and others and they were good meets. Hopefully we can start them up again.

Scooby-Doo you're in my neck of the woods (my parents live in Coulsdon). Yours wouldn't be a blue Scoob with gold wheels that I've seen around the Old Coulsdon area a few times?

Cheers
Chris

You guys missed the loony in the Toyota supra turbo thing then, doing mad donuts in the boxhill carpark spraying sticking rubber everywhere, a few feet away from my and other cars and while other people were trying to walk across the car park.

not good.

Then they wonder why the police become so abrassive and close down madeira drive etc.

I think the problem is that there are only so many times you can stand around in a car park looking at the same old cars..

Is this the same loony Supra that decided to leave the car park through a no entry sign and proceed to drive the wrong way down a dual carriageway. God knows how he got away with that one!!

nah, that was a totally different one owned by the manager at TDI.

I agree looking at the same old cars gets a bit boring, but at least its a nice day out with lots of fellow car nutters and theres some nice pubs in the area for afterwards.

It only boring looking at the same old cars, if the owner hasn't modified it anymore!

I'm running out of money, as I go to too many meets!!!

Sorry I missed you Graham! I turned up at 4pm, and I was the only Subaru there!!

I suppose it makes a change for a Subaru NOT to be a common car!!

I am suprised, when I went to the b/h meets there was no one messing about, and good turn outs.
I'd like to see another,
Andyp
