help need from ESC
try again.....
ok guys as we are the kings of flammers, have a slight problem.
my brother has got one for his astra, unfortunately we're a bit stuck on exactly how to wire it up to the coil. We have one coil in the boot, but the wiring diagram we have shows the wiring going to one coil in the boot and one on the engine.
Problem here is we dont have a coil on the engine, any ideas????
cheers

Strange they normally come with a little black box on there.... Don't see why it would use a coil to the engine?
Working out one as we speak myself as no diagram. Assuming that one earth, one positive live and the other two for the switch to create the circuit for the black box?
There is some info on flaming on Projects thread...

a black box came with it, so will have to have another look today, maybe we dont need the coil on the engine.
Thanks for the replies guys & girls

As Tuscan has said, I have wiring diagrams and circuit diagrams for flamers, but it's for my own design which may be different to the astra one.
On my flamers, the control circuit operates the -ve side of the coil, where as the +ve side is connected to a positive 12v source.
To be perfectly honest Spally, I'm concerned as to why you need to touch the coil in the engine bay, as this coud cause problems with the engine, on my flamers, they use their own dedicated coil.
If you want, give me a call, I've PM'd my number
