RR Day at PE with Hants Scoobies Sat 19th Feb
Would like to invite anyone that's interested to come along to Power Engineering on Saturday 19th Feb for our annual Rolling Road Day. All places are fully booked but as yet we have no reserves and your welcome to create a reserve list on here if you would be interested - obviously I can't promise you'll get on the rollers - but then you just might.
Whatever happens, it will be a great meet and there are going to be some pretty high-power Scoobies on the day - expect 400bhp+ from 1 or 2.
Starts at 9am and the last run is planned at 4.15pm. For more details see here
Cheers
Terry

Going to do my bit for charity!!!
I will be running a sweep stake for the BHP figure my new 2.5 engine puts out
£1 each, winner takes half the pot the rest goes to the charity of the winners choice.
I have no idea what it is going to get
I will have a complete spec sheet on the day for you all to take a look at and will answer any questions about the build as long as you enter the sweep stake
Take a look on my thread in Projects http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=393004
Should be able to raise a few bob for a worthy cause while we all have a laugh
Iain.

Reserve List Please
Hi,
can i put my name down for the reserve list please. I would like to come along anyway, but would be great if there's a reserve place on the offchance.
Just had a new exhaust system and Prodrive kit fitted to my car so want to see what difference it has made.
cheers

Would be nice to check this but sounds like I wouldn't get a run until about 4pm..... (especially as the car is currently near Heathrow - But I need to get to Bristol early afternoon so I guess I'll have to give it a miss this time)
Scott - whats yours running now
I'd expect mine to be circa 450bhp at PE now on my puny 2 litre, and semi-reasonable Turbo

Just pick an excuse.
1) my tyres are balding and they wouldnt grip the rollers
2) Bad batch of Optimax
3) Wasnt sub-zero arctic conditions so my intercooler wasnt that effective
4) I've just had a new "X,Y,Z" fitted so I'm tweaking the ECU map at the moment
5) I normally run heat grade 8 plugs but I thought I'd try 7's for a change, oh well.
6) not hitting target boost on the rollers, of course on the road I make X-bar everytime!
7) Rolling roads are notoriously inaccurate, I know my car is quicker than that! Operator Error
8 ) F*kING PPP, never perform well on a dyno
9) Heat Soak
10) Clutch slipping
11) The fans weren't big enough so there wasn't any air flow.
12) They didn't strap the car down properly....
13) My foot slipped off those silly STI pedals as my shoes were wet
14) But the 'bling' should have added 20BHP at least!!
15) My turbo is on the way out!!!!
16) My turbo is on the way out too
17) I'm still running in
18 ) But it was holding X.Xbar boost on the way down here!!
19) Im only on a basic map, Im being fully remapped next week
20) Waterspray!!
21) BUGGER, I forgot to add the Octane boost
22) It's not a 4WD dyno
23) My brakes are binding
24) I wasn't getting full throttle??
25) I ran out of petrol
26) The rollers weren't calibrated properly
27) The carpet was getting in the way, so I wasn't getting 100% throttle
28 ) I hit fuel cut
29) My car was only mapped yesterday so the advanced multiplier isn't correct yet.

I never had a good quality car though Pickle, rough and ready more like
I cant be sure that I will be able to run, so its only fair to back out and let someone who will be sure have a go, isnt it?
I wont know till the spanners are put away on friday night

Steve, Yeah I'm at this one! I 'spose your coming down to show us all a thing or 2 then! LOL. Just seen your time slot, I probably will miss your run, but hopefully will catch you before you leave for a chat.
