Default WRXPete needs your Scoob, 12/03/05

Right, time to get this sorted...

On saturday 12th March 2005 my twin sister is getting married in Guildford registery office. The plan is to pick her up and use my Scoob (all sparkly clean and ribboned up) to take her there.....then afterwards we'll all be going back to Hartley Wintney (on the A30 near Hook) for a reception.

What i had in mind is a bit of a convoy to turn up to surprise her....a shed load of flat fours all revving and burbling around her as we go would be a great surprise, something to talk about for years to come.....however, i think it will only work if there are at least 10 of us.

Primarily of course this will mean Surrey Scoobies, but anyone else at all is welcome....i won't be able to get you into the reception for a drink, but the next day will be the monthly Surrey meet and the wallet will be open for the first drink or two (i'm hoping this is really going to cost me!!!)

It's an excuse for a bit of a cruise around, a nice surprise for Lucy(and her fella Ian too, if you hang around and cruise back) and a free drink the next day (or whenever i see you after).

Finally, if any of you know of any New Mini drivers that could join us, that would be superb...Lucy has a Cooper S she loves, and they'll be driving themselves back to the reception in it!

She's my little sister, i love her to bits and want this to work, so please please please let me know if you are interested

AP...if you were able to make this, screen mounted camera running, i'd be really grateful!! There'd be extra beers available for you (or anyone) that could do some filming.

Can I pass on the beer and have some Optimax instead?

Does the force issue you with a fuel card

As for camera - if Ap can't make it - I can bring along my very photgraphically-talented hubby who can do the filming on our cam if that's any help?

Just a bit more info ???????????
Where are you picking up your sister, before you take her to Guilford?
As I presume that will be the meeting point.
And what sort of time on Saturday as I might be working but will come along if I can!!

Unless the bride decides to stay elsewhere the night before, then the pick up will be in Farnborough. The drive to Guildford is about 15 miles or so.
The big problem will be where you all park up if you want to cruise back to Hartley Wintney....i would love this bit to happen because Ian (the groom) and all the guests will get to see it then as well.....i just have this wonderful vision of a sky blue Cooper S storming along the road with a **** load of Scoobies behind it

The other problem is (without being rude) getting rid of you in Hartley Wintney...you won't be able to pull into the golf club car park where the reception is at....but as it's on my patch i'm sure i can make some plans for somewhere nearby. And there's lots of good pubs around.

Thanks for the response so far guys, keep it coming

In response to the above - I have somewhere we may be able to park up - about 10 mins from the Reg office (near my home) but u will have to let me know a bit before as to how many of us there will be - shoudl have plenty of space for about 15/20 scoobs.

Nice one! It depends on people are prepared to hang around whilst the ceremony happens and cruise back with us....i'll scope out the area, might be a case of a local pub for a drink whilst they get hitched, then back on the road!!!

You have Clive the Brave from swindon and his WR1
also I'm sure Iain and his WR1 is up for it.

make sure you PM me a couple of weeks before hand.
Sounds like it's going to be one massive party, is there a dress code ? fancy dress ?

It's a wedding, and i'm afraid the party is closed to you lot.....i think the best i can do is recommend a nearby pub so you can all park up and have a good time, and i'll put some money behind the bar.....the next day is the Surrey meet, so i'll be springing for a few drinks there as well!!!
