+ + + South Hants Pub Meet - ON TOUR - 10th May + + +
Hello all
So, the days are evenings are getting longer and the days are getting warmer, I think it's time to start the South Hants Meet Summer Tour again
Gives us all a chance to enjoy the cars before a few cokes and a chat at some of the nicer pubs in South Hampshire I'll choose one more over the Portsmouth Side one month and one over the Southampton side the next month hopefully taking in some of the fantastic roads we're lucky to have in Hampshire.
Soooo, next one will be 10th May from 8ish onwards at the pub which for this week is one of my favourite - "The Seven Stars" on the A272. This'll give the Southampton lot a chance to do one of my favourite roads (the 272 ), and I promise I'll return the favour for the Portsmouth lot next month
Seven Stars Inn
56, Winchester Rd
Petersfield Hampshire
GU32 3PG
Tel: 01730 264122
Pub can be found here: HERE
Two important points:
a. The A272 is one of the most dangerous roads in Hampshire - i.e. it has one of the highest fatal accident rates. It is often used by bikers in the nice weather, please, please drive carefully.
b. The Seven Stars has a gravel carpark, don't be a dick when pulling away - you spin the wheels and everyone in a 10m radius will be asking you to respray their cars....not good!
And lastly - can I draw your attention to this: Go Karting with other performance car guys ...thanks to Mike you all had a practise, so you should be able to beat them easily!

Lol @ StevieB! Should be at this one, and now the evening's are getting lighter, I promise to park my "heap o' junk" at the other end of the car park. Wouldn't want to kill any of you with my diesel fumes

I will most likely meet you at the pub because my car has got very slight det ( doesn't help it's only been driven twice this year ) and if I go with you lot I will only end up thrashing it and I know it will end in tears
Started doing my first mod this year today Don't get excited it's only the earthing mod and I didn't finish it because I didn't have enough terminals
Does anyone going to the meet want to buy an HKS EVC 3 boost controller in good condition, able to control boost up to 2.5 bar if your engine can handle it. It has high and low boost settings and a scramble boost control for over taking. I no longer need this and it will be coming off my Scooby in the next week. £200 or £275 fitted and set up, I would need your Scooby for half a day to fit it.
Colin.

I'll be there.
Plus I believe I have some sponsorship money to collect after completing the full 'gold' distance of the bike and hike (70 miles). Only took 24 hours(!) non-stop (bloody mountains!). If you sponsored me but aren't going on Monday then I'll get you next time!

The route from the A3 looks a bit boring - why don't we go to Fareham and up the A32 then across the A272 - much more fun....

we wont be there unfortunately I have my finals looming and its a heavy duty revision requirement that I stay home.
Daren, I will ask Nick to drop your boost controller off and if he will pick mine up from Jim.
cheers for that it helped me out a treat
Do you still need the centre bit or are you sorted?

Bttt as it's today....
...not sure if I'll make it - took my wading plugs out yesterday to find a load of oil coming out the cam belt housing Not good. (especially as that oil seal was replaced 4 weeks ago). Shouldn't really be using the Landy so I'll consult my helpful mechanic chappy and see what he say's.
Will get a lift with Chris if he's going.

Are any of the Soton lot meeting at Tescos ? I am getting behind at work so may head over later if I can, especially if there is no firm meeting time for a run over together.
...looks as though half the hants crew are on the late shifts tonight
