Tour of Cornwall
Some of you may have seen from my previous posts that the Tour of Cornwall rally this year is holding a motor show alongside the weekend’s rally. Included among the trade stands will be a number of Owners’ clubs showing off their pride and joys.
Owners of Scoobies are welcome to bring their cars along to Hendra Tourist Park on the Saturday and enjoy watching some of the stages held there and also at the same time display your car.
This rally on Saturday 3 & Sunday 4 April would make a good event for the entire SouthWest Scooby owners to meet up. The organisers will need to know the anticipated numbers of cars attending, could someone act as a liaison person with the tour organiser Dave Brenton?
We need a good organiser (Duracell how are you fixed??), I would volunteer but as Chairman I am going to be fairly busy over the next few weeks. The contact details for Dave Brenton by e-mail dlgm@brentond.freeserve.co.uk or by phone 01326 314844.

Hi Bob,
Really gutted I wont be able to make it this year, I'm off to South Africa on holiday.
Went to last years event with a few of the Devon and Cornwall mob and had a great time.

Ok Bob, I think a few of us may be up for this, sorry for our late decision! Anyway the plan is come down on saturday and watch a few stages and show off the cars!

I'll be there but I'm acting as service crew for my mates MGZR.
I should get to Hendra in time for the show and if poss would like to get my car in with the rest as it will already be there somewhere.

Hi Boys – copy of info sent out earlier tonight.
We can put 3 or 4 cars into the Hendra motor show, if you wish, this would mean getting there about 14.00 hours leaving your cars on show during the afternoon. Then watch the Hendra stage opening at 16.30, which should have first car going through at 17.30. The stage is then due to close around 19.30/20.00 hours.
The RS car club have a number of cars on show, there will a number of racing cars representing entries in following weekends hillclimb at Tregrehan, St Austell. Vospers will have a Mazda/Ford stand, D & C Police will also have a stand together with a few other cars and attractions I think, like a radio control model car club display.
If you just wish to come down to watch just pay a few pennies at the gate to park car, all proceeds go to the hospice. Start this year is again at Camborne college followed by a short blast around the perimeter roads the only other spectator stage apart from Hendra this weekend. First car away 08.31 stage closing about 2 hours later.
Might catch some of you over the weekend, I am starting them off at MC1 Saturday morning. Any one in the area on Friday scrutineering is being done at Newquay fire station in the afternoon.

Ok Guys..all sorted !
I've spoken with Dave this evening and its all been confirmed for us to park as a club at the Motor show event at HENDRA Park this Saturday 3rd April.
There is no limit on how many of us can go so *** on"ALL SCOOBIES CORNWALL / DEVON" come and join us !! and display your car !!
We dont need to be there till 2pm so i thought we'd meet probably at Trerulefoot Little Chef (A38 Between Plymouth-Liskeard) for say 13.00 to leave by 13.15. I have also posted this on [www.sw-pc.com] and maybe some of the guys i met last Sunday may join us
!!
The Rallying starts at approx 16.30 i believe and think will finish about 19.30ish..then you can all buy me a"drink"for being such a great"last minute organiser"!!!

Dont forget to clean inside the alloys as well! Duracell will be inspecting, and points will be awarded/deducted for clean wheels. And dont forget to get the hoover out, people will see inside as well!!

I'm on child care duties on Saturday afternoon and have to be back in Plymouth for 6pm at the lastest.
It is also the FA cup "final" at midday (no disrespect to any Millwall or Sunderland fans)
And no, I'm not playing golf on Saturday!!!!!!

Yep, another fun day (note to self: DON'T leave the umbrella in the car next time )
As for the run home, I was confused when Eagle7 sold me a dummy and decided not to take the Bodmin turn onto the A30, and that gave you guys just enough of a head start..... maybe next time

Will have to remember to pay more attention the southern section, I will try and pursuade my dad to take us to the next meet soon as well I didn't notice this one. opps
