Was UBER busy there! Something like an hour wait for each run! Was bloody freezing all day too, charge temps were low and the cars were flying I only did 3 runs for reasons that will become apparent....
First run was against my bro in his E36 328is, I got shed loads more grip than I was expecting, subsequently I bogged the car down . Pulled strongly through the gears, finished with a 13.7 @ 101mph, was blatently obvious that the time was lost on the launch. Time for another bash.
Some poor lads car decided to lunch its engine and **** up the track, track was closed for 2 hours while they cleaned up the mess.
Came round for run 2, only running the right hand lane (dont ask!), decided to launch the car hard, que 5500+ rpm and a sidestepped clutch Car span all 4 wheels all the way throuh first gear, launch felt good as did the rest of the run, crossed the line with a 13.2 again at 101mph Cruised off the track and came to a stop with a nasty sounding whine from the gearbox
Thought I may have damaged the diff, but decided for one more run, just so I could break it good and propper
An hour later I was lined up again, this time against a little pug 205, thought that maybe I was a little cruel to the car on the previous run so launched with a less brutality! Some wheelspin, then the car hooked up, run felt good, again changing into 5th 20meters, the result another 13.2 @ 101mph
Mucho whining from 1st gear now
The details of the final run:
Reaction - 2.077 (no I wasnt sleeping! Taking a little more time to concentrate on a half decent launch)
60ft - 1.863
330ft - 5.466
1/8 ET - 8.471
1/8 mph - 81.74
1/4 ET - 13.264
1/4 mph - 101.85
The car will do 12s easy, just needs a little more work on the launch. I will be back
