I am going to organise a one day rally experience for the Devon/Cornwall crowd.
I have been in contact with the guys at the Phil Price Rally School in Powys, Wales. These guys are supposed to be the dogs danglies of the 'rally day' world and a 1 day experience is normally £245 Inclusive of VAT, Personal Accident Insurance, Lunch & Refreshments, everything provided. They also have special rates on local accomodation for those of us who will want to stay up there.
More info can be found at http://www.philprice.co.uk
reviews: http://www.philprice.co.uk/News.htm
We need a group of 10 of us and the price will be £200 each. The earliest dates they have is Friday the 12th and Sunday 28th september and they require a 50% deposit to reserve a date.
The day includes full training, and timed runs against the clock and each other and the winner will be awarded a trophy.
At this stage I want to gauge interest in this to see who is interested and as soon as we have enough of us we can decide on a date. If you are definately interested in this, please email me or post with your email address here so i can keep account of numbers.

Some have mentioned going up the night before and staying there. There are several nice looking B&Bs recommended on the site with rates from @£30 single up to £50 double including full english
http://www.philprice.co.uk/accommodation.htm
For those who want to stay, it might be worth all trying to book this when we have decided on a date.

OK, we have our 10 and 1 reserve! Time to sort out the dates.
The 10 are:
1. Duracell
2. Eagle7
3. Katrina
4. MadDriver
5. WRX.CO.UK
6. Springbok (Probably!)
7. S55Scooby
8. Scoobdoo
9. No-Neck
10. chrisgarner
Reserve: scoobieblue
is everyone ok with both dates Friday 12th and Sunday 28th september?
I'll then book whichever is still available starting with earliest.
Once we have decided a date i'll book it on my credit card and i'll need your £100 deposits ASAP

Still waiting for some good news on the dates, as I understand the original dates quoted have gone now... Eagle7 will probably post at about 2am, as is the norm with him
On an entirely different note... any thoughts on the Rallyday 2003 at Castle Coombe on 16th August. There is a post entitled "Paddock parking for Rallyday 2003" (but as usual I can't do a clicky!!! )

Lisa is due on the 18th, I don't think that there are enough browny points in the galaxy for me to be allowed out to play that close to the birth
Take me off the list please, have a good one though, plenty of sideways action please.

17 now not good as wife has exams and so does maddriver!
this is not as easy as it seemed
so far everyones ok for 24th Oct.
Failing that might it be a better idea to do it for early next year? say mid to end of january?
at least that way it should not be booked out!

Neither, Dale YHM.
Expecting delivery of this bundle of fun on the 18th Oct.
I think I should start on the mods, plastic covers for the car seats
Thanks Lee, didn't really get a chance to chat with you at Japfest.

I did this course back in Feb with the MLR. Excellent day with 10 people as you don't spend much time standing around unlike some I've heard about.
At the end of the day they have a little competition. That of course was the best part as I won!!!

OK its now booked for Wednesday 8th October. I have paid the deposit on my credit card so could do with your deposits
Anyhow next step is to organise accomodation for those that want it. They suggested that we contact one of the hotels/B&Bs mentioned on the site. Me and the missus will definately want to stay the night before as it is an early start and we'll need our concentration I'll email you all regarding this, but if you want to stay the tuesday let me know and i'll see what's available.

The Hotel we stayed at which was about 15 mins drive away had a big garage/barn which you can comfortably put 5/6 cars in. Other than that there wasn't much nightlife in the area, believe me!
