I am going to organise a one day rally experience for the Devon/Cornwall crowd.

I have been in contact with the guys at the Phil Price Rally School in Powys, Wales. These guys are supposed to be the dogs danglies of the 'rally day' world and a 1 day experience is normally £245 Inclusive of VAT, Personal Accident Insurance, Lunch & Refreshments, everything provided. They also have special rates on local accomodation for those of us who will want to stay up there.

More info can be found at http://www.philprice.co.uk

reviews: http://www.philprice.co.uk/News.htm

We need a group of 10 of us and the price will be £200 each. The earliest dates they have is Friday the 12th and Sunday 28th september and they require a 50% deposit to reserve a date.

The day includes full training, and timed runs against the clock and each other and the winner will be awarded a trophy.

At this stage I want to gauge interest in this to see who is interested and as soon as we have enough of us we can decide on a date. If you are definately interested in this, please email me or post with your email address here so i can keep account of numbers.

:D

Still waiting for some good news on the dates, as I understand the original dates quoted have gone now... Eagle7 will probably post at about 2am, as is the norm with him

On an entirely different note... any thoughts on the Rallyday 2003 at Castle Coombe on 16th August. There is a post entitled "Paddock parking for Rallyday 2003" (but as usual I can't do a clicky!!! )

Matt

Eagle7 05 June 2003 08:22 PM

sorry for not getting back to you guys, been away for a day or two. I'll sort something out tomorrow.

:D

Eagle7 06 June 2003 02:10 PM

ok guys,

i have reserved Friday the 17th of october. They also have the week after available (24th), but i can only reserve 1 day so if we need that i need to know ASAP.

SO! Can you tell me today(if possible) if you can make 17, 24, both or neither.

just email, SMS or reply to this thread {17,24,both,neither}

cheers guys

S55cooby 06 June 2003 03:14 PM

Both

springbok 06 June 2003 06:49 PM

neither:(

Lisa is due on the 18th, I don't think that there are enough browny points in the galaxy for me to be allowed out to play that close to the birth:D
Take me off the list please, have a good one though, plenty of sideways action please.

Maddriver 06 June 2003 10:24 PM

24th fine, but not 17th.

Eagle7 06 June 2003 11:43 PM

hmmm.

17 now not good as wife has exams and so does maddriver!

:p

this is not as easy as it seemed ;)

so far everyones ok for 24th Oct.

Failing that might it be a better idea to do it for early next year? say mid to end of january?

at least that way it should not be booked out!

wrx.co.uk 07 June 2003 06:55 PM

17th or 24th are OK with me, didn't know you were 'expecting' SPRINGBOX! Good luck bud.

S55cooby 09 June 2003 01:19 PM

Duracell 09 June 2003 09:33 PM

scoobdoo 09 June 2003 11:38 PM

Both, on days on either of the dates.

springbok 09 June 2003 11:39 PM

Neither, Dale YHM.
Expecting delivery of this bundle of fun on the 18th Oct.
I think I should start on the mods, plastic covers for the car seats:D

Thanks Lee, didn't really get a chance to chat with you at Japfest.

chrisgarner 10 June 2003 04:07 PM

both ok with me.

Rosco 10 June 2003 08:30 PM

I did this course back in Feb with the MLR. Excellent day with 10 people as you don't spend much time standing around unlike some I've heard about.

At the end of the day they have a little competition. That of course was the best part as I won!!! :D

Eagle7 13 June 2003 11:09 PM

OK its now booked for Wednesday 8th October. I have paid the deposit on my credit card so could do with your deposits :D

Anyhow next step is to organise accomodation for those that want it. They suggested that we contact one of the hotels/B&Bs mentioned on the site. Me and the missus will definately want to stay the night before as it is an early start and we'll need our concentration ;) I'll email you all regarding this, but if you want to stay the tuesday let me know and i'll see what's available.

Rosco 14 June 2003 07:44 PM

The Hotel we stayed at which was about 15 mins drive away had a big garage/barn which you can comfortably put 5/6 cars in. Other than that there wasn't much nightlife in the area, believe me!
