Don't worry about the ear bending - was tongue-in-cheek

Just a few people at work - "We saw loads of those Impreza things at the weekend..."

Brilliant!!!!!

A big big thank you to everyone on the I.O.W weekend. It was great to see some old faces and to meet new ones.
WEll done Iain for taking over the organisation, and a big thank you to Gary for getting it started (both Bren and yourself were missed.) Another big thanks to all of you who arranged discounts for us, those of you who took the pictures and videos, and those of you who stopped us from getting lost!

Look forward to seeing you all again soon.

I'll second the well done to Iain. These things aren't easy to organise, and the weekend went well

I'm looking forward to the next meet.

Phew! just got back in. Driving on just sidelights and fogs (even green ones) is NOT recommended! lol!

Thanks to Gary and Iain for sorting this out, was a top weekend, really enjoyed myself. Good to see the 'usual suspects' chaps I've not seen for a while, and some new faces.

Now all I have to do is get the lights sorted (and maybe clean the car!)

Oh, and I am NOT you know what!

Well done Iain for a great weekend - some awesome roads, easy cruising, relaxed atmosphere, great company, great filming from Macis, nice short pelmets on the hotel girlies, fantastic weather, very understanding islanders, noisy exhausts, Markus coming out, huge onion rings at Chubby's Chunky Chippie, "knowledgeable" barman, noisy hotel guests (Iain and *******, sorry - I mean Markus), comfortable fruit trees, 45mph self-imposed speed limit, Petter Solberg (was that really you?)..... The list could go on! Roll on next year - happy to have a hand in organising - Iain deserves a break!

Keith & Julia (who wasn't so interested in the pelmet bit of the above)

Sorry I couldn't make it guys... my scooby was in bit all weekend. What we thought would be a 4 hour job, turned out to be all weekend. Eibachs/new struts fitted now though and i don’t need to put my gum shield in before i drive.... YAY!!

Where will all of ya be next? My girlfriend and I would like to come to a mainland meet as we missed out on this one.

I'm not going to get the exhaust fixed, just paid a lotta dosh for that!

Ditto thanks to all for a great weekend again. We all enjoyed it very much. The boys kept on asking me to "do the bangs" all the time....so what could I do? Didn't want to let them down Just wished they were louder!

I shoulda done it past those cyclists though and will probably regret that for the rest of my life!

Tim

ps added photos in the members gallery on the end of the others.

Just had my ear bent a bit about the weekend
"disturbing the peace" was muttered at one point
He finished by saying "Much better than the daft moped lot though!"

We were heard all over the island, especially Mark and Markus

A colleague thought we were a squadron of Honda Goldwings

Thanks Helen! glad to be me! the 'graffiti' will be removed at some point, prob will still be on there on sunday though! lol!

hehehe @ loud zorst! heheheh, nuffin like a nur spec R! Must say that driving back with just sidelights, green foglights, and the nur spec going did cause a few heads to turn (thankfully not the coppers in the T5 Estate in Lewes though!)

Thanks to Keith for most of the leading (he knew where he was going).
Took alot of the pressure off knowing if we all stayed together we would get there. (Unlike my co-drivers map reading)
And a big thanks to Ang for sorting the discounts and handling all the money

So many funny moments!!! But the one I'll never forget was the towards the end of the Military road as I was following Tim's 22B.

We came to a hill and a Pug 106 decided to over take the car in front just as Tim caught it. I don't think he could pull back in fast enough Tim flew past followed closely by me and (I think) Steve all doing the 60 mph speed limit of course!!

I have already had a preview of Marcis's complete video and it's awesome!!!!

Thanks to all for being there, the company made the weekend!!
Roll on next year
Iain.
