Hi All,
We mentioned a little while ago about doing an endurance race at Clay Pigeon. Mark (Gizmo) is very busy at the moment, so on his behalf I'm trying to see who would be interested. To make this an exclusive event we need a minimum of 8 teams, if we can't get 8 then we will join in on one of there championship events like last time.
It would be a 2hr endurance with 30 mins practice. £200 per team. You can have however many people in your team that you want. Obviously the more you have the less it costs for each person.

We haven't booked a date yet, just seeing if we can get 8 teams first, however it will be on a weekend.

Did this about 5 years ago. It was just the best thing and the feeling of speed was awesome.
Now work somewhere else. I'll see what interest i can drum up

Thanks for posting this Tracey.
We've got 1 team and possibly 2 but need to check with my mate when they get back from holiday next weekend - they should be up for it.
Come on all it'll be a great laugh and should be better if we get the place to ourselves.

I did see you had organised one for the 19th Oct, wasn't being rude by not joining your event, it's just that our usual karting buddies have been talking about doing one at Clay for ages and we are only just getting round to orgainsing it.

As soon as it looks good and we have got at least 8 defo teams then we can sort the date.
Will keep you posted.

We will give it until this weekend, just to see how many more wish to take part, then we will sort a date out.

Can you just confirm that we do need at least 8 teams for an exclusive event? Of course more than 8 will be more fun.

As Tracey said I've been a bit busy lately + last few weeks my job was under threat so as you can imagine I haven't done alot about sorting a date.
Before I phone Clay Pigeon how about a vote on whether we should do the SIDC AGM event on 27th Oct instead at Daytona ?
Only thing is it's only 1.5hrs.

We would prefer to do one at Clay, as we are already racing at Milton Keynes in September.

OK here we go.
The date for the next race we can take part in at Clay is 6th Oct.
Its a 2.5hr race with 30mins practice and 15min qualifying before.
Need to arrive at 9am.
Cost is £180 + VAT if we can get more than 6 teams, £200 + VAT if less than 6 teams.
We need to try and get it sorted by the end of next week whilst there are still places available. They need to close the entry list at 15 teams and there are already regular championship teams entered. I told them I'd hope to bring about 8 teams - any more and we may be struggling to get in.
Lets have some names then and see how many teams we've got.

my bloody head gasket has gone 
i'm not sure i can make it if it's on the 6th.
i'll still be recovering from having to shell out for new engine parts..
unless that is 180 per team.. then it's diffrent..
is it per team or per person?
IF it is per team then still count me in as one team of 4.

Hi all
We're going to have to cancel this one I'm afraid.
Not really enough time to get everything organised.
Any ideas on when/where we should try for. It's getting a bit late in the year for Clay Pigeon - It'll be under 6ft of snow mid October.

Yes we could do, I raced at Milton Keynes on Saturday was ok, but they are not very helpful and we have said we don't think we will go there again. They are never interested when you kart has broken down really. Out of the 6 teams we took there 3 of the teams had problems but it was funny how one of there regulars had some trouble and got sorted out straight away. My team was in 4th place in the last 3/4 hr and then all the trouble and we ended up 11th.
We'll have to think about that one.

One of our friends has mentioned a 6hr endurance at Buckmore either Nov or Dec, nothing finalised yet though. We'll see what we can come up with.
