Default Retailer pretending to be Toad

I just tried to get a price online and the person I spoke to "Matt" was a tit.

If you can't manage a conversation why would I give you a couple of hundred pounds to fit an alarm.

Indeed; there is a company run a website called Toad alarm. They always come up at the top of google searches, but thay aren't 'TOAD' they are an independant retailer, like Sextons etc. Its very naughty how they 'pretend' to be Toad. As such I would advise against dealing with them.

The real Toad website is here: http://www.scorpionauto.com/

There is no live chat, and they will not sell you an alarm directly. Only via approved installers.

Right; You won't get a cat 1 Toad with remote start.

You can have remote start without the cat 1. But not both.

In the end of the day its the very same alarm system, but the politics surrounding cat1 insurance certification has an effect on the way it is wired and configured.

From experience clifford with remote start is a head ache if it all goes wrong, the standard alarm is good but complicated, the anti hi-jack went wrong and locked me out the car, needed to buy a new ECU for the alarm but i managed to get in to it and reset it, luckily it worked but went with toad after that the A606i is good
