Question

i have a MY99 UK turbo (standard spec) in certain places where i have parked the car I havent been able to get the key-fob to arm/disarm (or with major difficulty). The only thing i can think of is that where i parked it, there must have been loadsa ultra-sonic or other interference rendering the fob useless, as you can imagine, i didn't leave the car their. But the wierd thing is if i park back in that area, i get the same problem. This has happened in 2 entirely different places. Is this a known issue?? as both times when it happened it was a pain in the ***. Or is there something up with the alarm

this is a problem known to i.m and sigma and there is a modded ecu for the alarm to stop it happening ask your local dealer about it as we all had a bullitin quite a few months ago about it so you might have to keep on asking about it but it does exist

Wink

I suffered with this also & got the subaru dealer to change the brain of the alarm which fixed it.

My local sigma dealer tells me that there is an aerial hanging out of the back of the alarm brain, & simply re-positioning this will sort it out!
