Default Key Fob

2007 WRX
The battery went flat (That's what it seemed like) the keyfob wouldn't disarm the alarm(Subaru Cat1)
The spare fob works no problem, now that I've fitted a new batery in the first fob it doesn't work. The fob was left without a battery in for 24 hours, could this be the reason that it won't work even now it has a new battery fitted ?

Search for "Sigma Sam" mate, he'll direct you in the right direction.

You have the original docs from new with the car? There will be a four digit pin code, with this you can re-sync the fob back to the car. A simple Radio signal (ie old freeview signal) can un-sync the fob.

Hope this helps.

What year is the car?

If you have the keypad (next to your right knee when in the drivers seat if RHD) then you can use the four digit code to unarm the car should you panic.

Simply jump in your car even if the alarms goes off, and punch in the code, but as the buttons are very close together and sensitive you would be best to use the back end of a pen or pencil.

Follow the steps in the link above and you should be ok.

It's a 2007 car Rob,with the keypad where you say.

Yes mate, read the response in the link above from Sigma Sam. He isnt just someone full of info, he is the man that was contracted to SUBARU UK for the alarm installations i think. If in doubt ring him, he is also responsible for aftersale help .

Do what he says in the thread, I did and it took all of 30seconds, plus i bought another Sigma fob off ebay for £15 which I also sync'd at a later date. Simples
