Problems after fitting alarm...?
#1
Just had the Cat 1 fitted to my new car (Euro import WRX <40 miles). Picked it up from alarm fitters and ABS warning light didn't go off (was absolutely fine this morning), took straight to dealer who says ABS isn't working. Booked in for diagnostics next week, but any suggestions as to what may have happened? Anyone else have similar problems after alarm fitting?

To update - have checked car and it has lost ABS, Hazards (which now illuminate side lights...!), Air Con and front fogs...! All are neighbouring fuses, so it's obviously a wiring error by the alarm fitters. All were perfect before going in (all checked when it came in off transporter). Anyone in N Yorks want to know where not to take their car for an alarm???

Depends on which alarm you have fitted to your car, if its a clifford then give Max the clifford dealer a shout in Leeds but i would take it straight back to the people who fitted it and if they cannot correct what they have done (including any damage to any of your cars components) then they should be reported.

Thanks for the feedback Tony. Thanks to Johnblue, have got wiring diagrams and sorted the problem... (see thread on Lighting and Electrical). It wasn't Max, by the way... Have only heard good things about him on here. Should have taken it there to begin with, perhaps!
