Default Am i getting ripped off? Sigma alarm at the stealers.

I have a spare fob that will not arm or dis arm the sigma alarm i've tried to teach it with the key pad and the codes but it does not want to work. The key pad does not even lock or unlock the car on the pin. it does give you a battery level check though so it is working,

I spoke to Subaru and they can look at it. They said they will give it a diagnostic check which is 80+ pounds, will this actually tell them what is wrong?

Cheers Charlie

The Subaru diagnostics system wont interface with the alarm at all so there is no way that putting it on their computer is going to help you. Best bet is to take it to a professional security dealer who deals with Sigma systems. They will be able to help you out for a fraction of the price..
