Default MY02 STi Alarm Problems (I think)

My immobiliser seems to have stopped disarming. I can unlock the central locking and switch of the alarm with the keyfob but when i put the key in the ignition and turn the key the fuel pump doesnt prime etc. Also when I press the button with the ignition on, as if to disarm the immobiliser, the alarm switches on

Anybody have any ideas?

are you getting the ignition lights on your dash?

is the starter engaging?

im getting all the lights as normal. The starter is engaging and turning the car over. I would of thought it was a fuel pump issue but the way the alarm/immobiliser is acting when the ignition is switched on and the button quickly pressed made me think otherwise?

sounds like an issue with the immobiliser part of the alarm. The fact that you can arm the alarm when the ignition is on is also a worry. because of the way the alarms are installed this should not be possible.

The only other thing it could be is a problem with a multiplug at the fusebox. It may be worth checking there before shipping it off to an electrician/dealer.

it has recently had a simtec ecu fitted, and ran a motec m800 prior to that. Its never had an issue before.

While your here, ive searched through all my stuff for the alarm code, but its not anywhere. Ive every document I ever got with the car, someone mentioned in another thread that the code is on the wee silver disk on the keyfob, but mine has 5 numbers on it

As for the mulitplugs, is it just a disconnect everyone and reseat them all, or is there a specific one?

Thanks for your help

as long as you have a working transmitter you can set a new code...

https://www.scoobynet.com/security-1...ypad-code.html

It could be any of them but i would check the white one on the very bottom of the front of the fusebox. Thats the one that takes the feed to the fuelpump.

Useful and informative thread for owners of UK cars with Sigma ECUs.
Fuse is by drivers knee, second row from bottom and second in.
Thanks C.S.E and P1 J.

I thought it was fuse 16? Whatever it is, it is the second row from bottom and second in on a UK STi. M/Y 05.
