Try a Disklok instead or search for 'Dipol' with regards to mechanical devices.
Clifford Blackjax seems to be the device of choice for carjacking.

I've got a Crook lock (useless perhaps, but a visual deterant). Always drive with the doors locked, always.
Tracker - for what its worth.
Buy a gun on the black market - by far the best solution.

WTF's up with my steering lock?
my beemer, you just needed to take the keys out of the ignition, then turn the wheel about an inch, and it locked.
the scoob, half the time i can't get it to engage, even after turning it as far as i can. i've tried quick jerks and controlled slower turns, still i only get it to lock about half the time.
its a 55 wrx by the way
am i just a turd, or is there a knack to it?
actually dont answer that!

Its your choice at the end of the day, but IMO the blackjaxx is pants. because of the code entry system.
This is a 2 button system located probably near your fog light switches. But handy it aint. When you get in the car you enter the 4 digit system by pressing one of the buttons the number of times the first digit is.then a space, then press again the number of times the second digit is, then a space and so on. Right got that??
then the system is armed. then you realise that you have forgotten something in the house, open the door, get whatver you needed get back in the car and yes you guessed it, you have to arm the system again.
Then you need something out the boot, open the door and whoops time to arm that system again.. sod that ...
It's personal preference but I would go for an alternative solution.
I do have such a solution on my car, but unfortunately due to this being quite an open board< i dont want to discuss or detail my security systems.
suffice to say they will do the job
