Hi All,

Newby so excuse any errors I am making with my message icons, etc.

Anyways, I brought myself an impreza last week and I need an alarm. Not I was thinking of a Toad C4. From what I can make out this does not come with an immobiliser which suits me fine as the car already has one. But some of the web pages I am looking at imply that you need a cat2 alarm first which has an immobiliser before you can fit this one.

Does anyone have any experience in this alarm? Oh and I need to find someone to fit it too.

Its probably a 2:1 upgrade alarm to a cat 1.
no immobiliser.

 

You wanna get a Toad Ai606 if you want a toad, cat 1 alarm and immob for about 280 fitted. Try "Safe N Sounds" they did a good job and they will fit it at your work or house.

Hello mate you can get a c5t2 immobiliser unit which will plug straight into your alarm this will also convert your whole system to CAT 1

The TOAD C4 is a CAT 2 - 1 Upgrade. CAT 2 is your immobiliser and the C4 is an alarm which bring the security upto CAT1 thatcham standard (if your immobiliser is also thatcham cert)

Good simple alarm, does its job. also has output for pager or mobile phone...
