Update on my TOAD Alarm Disaster

I had a conversation with a guy called Mike Beagrie (a Director at Toad) last week. He apologised etc. but basically said that Toad were not going to do anything about my costs.

He said that Toad had stopped supplying the company that fitted my alarm just before mine was fitted (well they would have, wouldn't they?).

He then told me that the company were now trading under a different name. He gave me their address and their phone and fax numbers and said that now I had the information that I could do something about it. He also told me that it was in Toad's interest to stop this company fitting their alarms (well he knew who they were, what's stopping them???), it just seemed that he would prefer me to do the dirty work on Toad's behalf.

Had a problem with a "TOAD" system fitted in Hendon. Sure I had to deal with same guy.Think I told him I would weld the shutters to their fitting bay shut if problem not solved.New system fitted next day .And costs met.

Be heavy, it works

I signed before but just like to say that I cannot believe the attitude of Toad.

This update has been the final nail in the coffin for me regarding Toad products.

funny this....
i had a Toad fitted to my last car (BMW) SmartCar Nottm,fitted it.

i had problems with it that they didn't seem to sort out.
at that time Toad Install had opened up in Nottm, so i took it to them to take a look (lifetime warranty thingy).
They said it had been fitted v poorly!!
I kicked up a fuss, and they had a word with there head office and the agreed to refit it at no cost to my-self!!

also they said they were not happy with the comany i had bought it from and they would look into it!
But as they were such a big seller of Toad products................i think u know what they said! didn't want to lose a good outlet etc. sort of answer.


Once the Toad had been fitted properly i had no problems ever again with it.

I would have a Toad again.
