Can anyone help me. I need to establish if it is me or the car/immobiliser.

Sometimes when I start the car it starts then almost immediately cuts out. Can take several attempts to get started and this is only accomplished by revving the engine quite hard. It is now starting to Pee me right off. We are due to change the alarm and re-fit a Clifford 300 but in the meantime we have to live with this. Can anyone help please!??!!??!!

May or may not be of any help to you, but when imobilizer is active on my car, MY00, the engine won't even turn over ... i guess you are wondering if its the imoblizer cutting in once its started though ... i would be surprised if it was.

The cat 1 alarms have 2 immobilisers, so the starter is one, maybe the fuel pump is the other and it's playing up a bit!

Thanks guys. I have called Sigma UK and they think that it may be the car as it should not be able to start if the immobilizer is active. It could be the fuel pump immobilizer. Guess the only way to find out is to take it in to the dealer.
