I posted a thread in the electrical forum by mistake.
Can you have a look, ive got a problem with mine and i need some advice.

Also, does the Sigma M30 have a battery backup and if so can it be changed?

I took the leads off the car battery and the siren started sounding but was very quiet, so made me think that if there is a backup battery it is on the way out.
Anyone know?

alan yes the m30 does have a battery backup this is charged when the car is running so to cause min battery drian. the siren sounding when battery removed is part of the system for thatam rating.if the alarm is put in valet mode it should not sound when battery is removed

How do you put the sigma into valet mode?

Alan to put alarm in valet mode put ign on an disarm immodisiler. then push and hold remote button for appox 15 seconds the alarm led will flash 2 times very fast may take a couple of goes.to remove alarm from valet mode just arm and disarm as normal
