Sigma M30 opening boot when alarm is armed
I have recently bought a 2004 saloon legacy. When I got the motor the remote central locking was not working. On further investigation the sigma alarm had been removed so I got one from an outback. Got the pin changed and coded my key to it but every time I lock the car the boot opens. It doesn't open the boot when you unlock the car. Is this to do with the alarm being set for an estate or another reason. Does anyone know if the boot is controlled by one of the programmable outputs of the sigma or if its controlled by the body control module?
Thanks in advance William

The keyless entry system (including the boot) is controlled by the body integrated unit
The alarm cm connects to the body integrated unit

If you don't have a copy
Sigma_m30_manual.pdf
which references 2004 legacy boot operation (document page 6 /manual page 4)
there are other specific references to the 2004 Leacy within the manual.

Thanks Don, I figured out that pin 13 (orange wire) is the boot release. When it goes to earth the boot pops. I moved that wire to pin 14 (wire 4 in Sigma terms since Subaru decided to flip the pinout). This should give me boot release on a long press but it only works on a long press to arm the alarm it does nothing when I disarm. Has anyone come across this before?
Thanks, William

I reread the alarm manual and I'm stupid wire 4 is for window closing and therefore cant be used as a boot release as it only works on arming the alarm. Does anyone know of a place in Northern Ireland with a cp1 programmer to get pin 3 reprogrammed for a long press?
Thanks, William
