Talking

What can I say.

Great night, great company, great food (and drink), fantastic drive on the Saturday, nice relaxing day on the Sunday.

Top weekend.

Thumbs up

Mike,

yes the Tut Towers event continued on Sunday, with a run down the Glenshee road towards Blairgowrie, and then some headed off home (most down south) in small convoys.

I heard about a head on collision between a Lotus and a Volvo near Knockhill on Friday night with major injuries. Apparently the Volvo went over the top of the Lotus which was on the wrong side of the road "racing" another Lotus, but I don't know the accuracy of that information. Hope everyone is OK.

John,

I only know some 2nd hand info regarding the accident, so won't go into much detail in case any of it is inaccurate. The Elise driver is well on the way to a full recovery, having suffered a few broken ribs and perhaps a broken foot.

Volvo was apparently parked (or going very very slowly) in a dip in the road, and none of the cars (including the one being passed) saw it until it was too late. The "occupants" of the Volvo apparently ran off after the accident, and had to be tracked down by the police. The car being overtaken at the time, confirmed that the Lotuses were driving sedately, not racing etc, and that he thought it was a perfectly safe place to pass as well. No charges were (or are) being brought against the Lotus driver.

Red face

That must have been why the road was closed on the way into Knockhill. I came in from the Edinburgh end, but the left-hand fork (of the road with the little cottage) was closed and Police were redirecting traffic.

Glad everyone's OK. The Volvo driver is in deep **** if he left the scene - not clever.

Hi to anynoe who was at Knockhill on Friday and/or went on TutTowers run I Have gone through SOME of the Video from the weekend and have loaded a selection of stills to the following Webshot Albums. There is more for me to go through but it has taken most of the last night and today to do this amount. The Sun has just come out so I am off out for a run, so will leave doing anymore to later tonight if I get a chance. Plenty more shots to go up when I get around to it.

Cheers Iain

It is amazing how things get twisted when there is a performance car involved and how fault is automatically presumed.

Was there something on on Sunday? I was driving back from Edinburgh and saw about 8 Elise's turning off just before Stracathro... thought there must have been something on somewhere.
