So the only near incident was caused by a P1 driver who couldn't drive (!!surprise!!) nearly rear-ending another P1!!!!
sorry but I disagree with that,he was sideways at most corners so he could handle the car.possibly the other p1 over-reacted at his driving style with it being his first track day.the driver however should have possibly taken this into account as it was obvious that the guy was a newbie.

`Fanny racers` if its not about racing then whats the point.
As far as i can see, I think i know who the `fanny` is. Everyone else was having fun.
ps I didn`t see any subarus being anywhere near the evo`s.

Knockhill have just told me that due to a cancellation, they are running a track event for cars this Saturday afternoon from 2pm – 6pm.
It will be first come first served on the day, for the bargain price of only £40 !!!
You can pre-book via the Knockhill office if you wish.
They will be running cars in 3 sessions, though depending on numbers turning up (maximum 75), the afternoon may revert to open pit after some initial sessions.
There will be a mixture of cars on track (ie Caterhams/Westfields/Hot Marques type cars), but no “Hot Hatch” type entries.
Short notice I know, but it’s a bargain if you can make it along.
There is a bike track event in the morning from 2pm – 1pm.

After managing to get babysitting for Skye I have now heard that there might be "Hot Hatch" entries allowed. Will phone to find out. Hopefully not, as I was looking forward to some more track time.

Yes Michelle, they love letting Smarties on to add colour and style to the track. Wee pic from the video I did where I combined two camera views into one video. Getting in practice for Hot Hatch exploits!!

When I phoned they said it was for Hot Hatches. I said that quite a few Elise and Subaru owners had been interested but were concerned about a rumour that it was for Hot Hatches. The lady then said it was definitely a "Hot Hatches" event. Thinking of going up to watch anyway. If its okay then I might go on, just wait and see I suppose.

hot hatchs are not bad. it is usually the numbers that are assocaited with these days. you end up getting very little track time !?
long queues etc..
who is going so far. i may come over and have a look and play it by ears kind of thing.

hi andy
i am not shy, much tinkering and fiddling is still required. more power to be had from the current setup before i move to stage 2
i will come up anyway and probably see how is your car going.

Went up for a look, didn't stay long as it was mostly fanny racers.
Couldn't get away quick enough.
A few Scoobs, but felt kinda sorry for em, track was full of hair dryers all trying to race each other.
Felt like a hot hatch day.
Knockhill must have opened it up to anyone in the end to guarantee numbers, greedy gits.
Roll on Aug 15th.

was not that bad, especially as the day went on and more cars arrived including 2xp1's,2or3classic scoobs,3 evo's,exige, elise and a few cosworths.some of the so called fanny racers were faster than any of the above, did not see anything too stupid happening either.if my car was not sitting with bu66ered brakes I would have been on track.
for £40 it was a bargain, basically 2 sessions so they came off for about 15min and then went back out.skyenet seemed to be getting enough laps anyway .

Left 5 ish ,like T uk says some decent motors tracking towards the end. Funny watching the fanny racers in their wee hatches pissing all over the AWD Turbos once the track got a bit greasy wi the drizzle!!!
Champagne coloured Scooby sounded magic who ever you are.

What a cracking laugh. Got there just before 2pm. Watched for 10 minutes and then was handing 40 notes over for a go. Only 40 cars turned up so had loads of track time. As T-uk said the hot hatch drivers were really good and certainly handled their cars well. No problems on track alhtough they certainly didn't make it easy to pass (no moving over, slowing down). I overshot the hairpin on one occasion but soft landing and soon reversed and off again. Think I managed the most time on track as myself and Dave in an Exige were still hurtling around at 5:45 when the track shut. He took a wee rest during a wet spell but I stayed on and saw some great driving from the Hot Hatches as they powered round the track with what looked like little grip. So glad I went and weather was fine.
Good meeting you T-uk, would like to have seen you on track. Pity you didn't convince your mate to put his car on.
Cheers Iain
Mid afternoon line up for one of the two session running (not very busy!!)
