Question

Was at AVA today (eventually, faulty HT lead made starting the car somewhat more difficult than I had anticipated) who checked out the car on the rollers for me. It recorded 119 ponies at the wheels (@ 5400rpm) and is now running a lot better, even starts first time

When AVA say power at the wheels, do they mean that the figure is actually the power at the wheels, or as I suspect, the power at the flywheel calculated from the power at the wheels?

Their graph just gives one line for BHP / rpm.

Those figures will be *at wheel* figures.

Compare your results with the dyno sites at the top of the page, but don't read in to them too much......

It's the actual power at the wheels Robertio, and my motor produced 134.1 bhp at the wheels at 4915rpm the weekend before yours

Thumbs up

Hi Chop

Approx 250 at the wheels from my scoob, it all goes to pushing a lightweight car forwards too, instead of up in smoke like some tanks

Talking

chop, I sold the scooby before I got the westie, it was making 133bhp at the wheels (218.5bhp@flywheel) - a standard MY00.

Stage 1, want to swap? (at 570kg that'd give me 667bhp per ton )
