Driving home along the A1 (4:15) I glance over to see a lovely white WRX with the owners head deep in the guts of the engine bay? Where were you around 4:15 Mr Cossie Convert can't be too many white WRX owners in East Lothian!! Come on, own up whoever you are!

Playing with increased boost pressure and popped an air hose off between turbo and intercooler

Lucky had a screwdriver in the car to fix it !

Pop down tomorrow afternoon if you want a run in it ?

eheheheh CC..... Done that myself too.

Just fitted the FMIC and was going up the A9 from Stirling to Aberdeen when the hose under the car popped off. So there's me with the car propped up on one of them stupid dog-leg type jacks and artics hurtling past about 2 yds from me at about 56MPH.

I thought I was gonna get sooked RIGHT under those wheels or the jack collapsing many a time

Needless to say I soon got huge **** off Mikalor clamps and they havent moved since

Reminds me of a certain silver (very loud) scoob in the hands of its previous owner.Quote."I just kept turning up the boost till the intercooler blew right off its brackets...." class

Thumbs up

Yea, those artics don't give you much room do they

Just as well WRX's got alloy bonnets, they don't hurt so much when falling on your head !! not that there's a lot to damage in there anyway

Pipe now fixed using a nice 2" stainless steel beer pipe ! and boost back to a sensible level.....20 psi or was that 2.0 of them other things always gets me that does

Dave do you think my car is safe at 19 PSI from what you saw on the Select monitor with it running 18? It is also holding more at the top end - in the cold 15 PSI at 6000, in the warm about 14. How much did you run at Knockhill with your TD04L and for how many laps? With the boost arrangement I now have it spools up and holds much better with 19 and drives well.
