My name is Jas.
I am from Glasgow originally but now I live in ibiza.i bought last year my dream car(Subaru impreza 22B).Photos are in the garage section if interested.
It is the original car that was test driven by the guys in Top gear in 2001.
Now the car is over here enjoying the warm comforts of ibiza.
It would be great to keep in contact with some of you guys,as here in ibiza,the scots are few and far between.

I hate to brake the bubble but that car isnt the car that you have,the car was plated with different plates than the cars original because the car belonged to Ian Warrender that is going sideways,its a different car with your plates on,sorry.I no this because I use to be the buyer for Warrender,

 

So his cars number plate matches that in the video but you are saying the one in the video is a different car but with J22b's plate on it?

 

Yes thats right,Ians car had only done about 1200 miles at the time

The car reg is S44WRC and he said the build number is 396 hope this helps

I ahve been given some info which has helped me very much.
I am happy to say that My car is the original one used.I will say nothing more over this matter,but if you wish to continue thinking your friends car is the original,then be my guest.
I am writing this with no bad intention towards you or anyone else,but as I said before I have been given info on different terms that mine is the original car.

It doesn't help me and I wish you all the best but I used to work with Warrender and it was common knowledge in work that this was done,it was a close nit company,my information came from Ian Warrender himself who owned the car that did or did not get used in the video,If you find Steven Philips who was the bose at the time he will be able to put this to rest for you,he sells on Ebay so it may be worth a look,he was on the shoot when they done the video
