There are some very helpfull members on here and over on SIDC. Somebody might be able to help you out with a trailer to get your car over to the garage. There are more Scottish members over on Subaru Impreza Drivers Club -> Scottish Scoobies

You might get a better response over there.

Also consider Checkpoint in Arbroath... they are good lads with a lot of performance car experience too.

Cheers,
Grant

AWD are good and know their stuff, they are pricey and your sure to walk away alot lighter in the pocket than you thought. Not in bad way you can call them thorough but at a price. Dont just rush your car round, decide what you can afford to spend, many members will tell you that when you get started making changes/repairs it can become like pandoras box with many parts being purchased which you had never factored in.

Tempted too sell the fiesta once its finished to fund the scoob or start saving hard and use the fiesta for lil while.

Im confident i can get around 2.5k for the fiesta, usual selling price for puma'd fiesta.

Roughly how much is a new bottom end fitted and is it worth goin 2.1,2.3 or 2.5???i plan on having the car for a fair few yrs to modify power wise but only look to find 300 bhp over next few yrs

It a case of how much power you are after and how deep are your pockets.

Here is a thread about 2.1 bottom ends that might of interest to you.

Pockets are shallow atm but a tour of duty away will sort that and some heavy tax rebates ;]

I viewed that thread, engine tuners is some distance away though or do they deliver? :-s

I have been offered a bottom end for a 94 turbo mines k reg turbo,as far as ive read thats ok?

Apologise,i really am a complete novice to the scoob world

The deal i posted above would mean you posting them a bottom end and then them building it and sending it back to yourself. Its definitely not the cheapest option .

but a bloody good deal none the less, if you could source a (CDB) Closed Deck Block and send it to them you could end up with a seriously strong engine capable of BIG BHP

Subaru Impreza STi Closed Deck Block 1994 on eBay, also, Subaru, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 01-Mar-09 11:38:51 GMT)

Like that?! im not really after crazy power, although no doubt i will be eventually so the cdb does interest me but gotta be sensible atm.

And dunk i agree, from what ive learned it is a hella good deal!!! its leading the pack atm as to my options, just dont wana sell my lovely fiesta yet!

Checkpoint in Arbroath... (01241) 879 999

If you speak to Callum then he'll see you right mate. They've looked after countless peformance cars for me and friends over the years.
