Default Subaru Specialist Aberdeen PLEASE!!!!

Hello my Impreza has started to get loads of little noises and knocks on it recently and i don't want to take it into town and county. I was wondering if there is a subaru specialist in the Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire area or better yet. Where is the best place in Scotland to take you subaru?????

Thanks Michael

Merry Christmas!

Suspension knocks. Wheel bearings etc. It is just wear and tear on the car. Would like to take it to a specialist.

any respectable garage should manage to identify those problems, but if a bearing is gone it will hum/whine and have play in the wheel when jacked up.

suspension knock are commonly the drop links on subaru's from what i've read, but could be a ball joint or shocker.....

Thanks i will keep that in mind. Always good to have a bit of extra knowledge . I really want to take it to a specialist. Someone who i can trust and know that they know 100% everything about the car and know what to do .... kind of hard for me 2 explain lol. Someone i can keep going back 2 . Thanks for you help though.

It might be worth posting over on Scottish scoobies, there are quite a few members from Aberdeen that would be able to point you in the right direction.

i was just gonna say brian downie is the only specialist around here i'd go to.

he aint the cheapest but knows his stuff

i bought a car from him and we didnt see eye to eye when it came to a warrenty claim as he said i fcuked the shocks, exhaust, clutch, flywheel and gearbox all in the matter of 3 weeks

regardless of that he fixed it all no quibbles

Yeah, I think he's saddened nobody mentioned him. He has done all the work on my car bar the mapping, including servicing and I'm very happy.

He is away alot as he works in the oil industry in foreign places, so patience is sometimes required. Labour rates at 50% ish of garage rates mean its often worth the wait.

Actually guys the reason behind the was that the site mentioned has been harder and harder to get on as of late and might have to move again

Hopefully that will be sorted out by "management" so get registered whilst you can and ask all your questions to the people more local to you.

Not as much as I used to (as I am now shore-based and have less time) but still "dipping my toe" in the Scooby waters..................
