Is a full subaru service history really worth it? I'm not looking to sell in the near future and will always ensure I have a full service history from a good garage (+ hopefully start on the mod route next year!).

I've got a MY99 and as posted previously, about to get my 30,000 service at T&C for £380 (they have also grudgingly agreed to give me a 10% SIDC discount).

Given that they don't give the SIDC discout as standard I'm tempted to go to AWD in Perth (Nobles and S&S in Ayr are a bit far away).

Would anyone recommend I try to stick to the subaru service history?

Also, any good recommendations for AWD?

Many thanks
Richard.

Hi There

I'll give AWD top marks...

Although we use all Subaru genuine service parts, to retain your 3 year manufacturers warranty (assuming yours is UK) you will need to have the car serviced & book stamped by an official Subaru dealer. We can do the 1st years servicing on any new Subaru without invalidating the warranty.

Hope this helps
Dave

Thanks Dave - so to retain my warranty (still have some left) I need to stick to a Subaru garage.

Ho hum, really can't wait in a way for the warrenty to be over so I can go else where and start modding my car without feel 'guilty' about it!

Richard.

I found T&C Perth to be about 25% more expensive than AF Noble. I also MUCH preferred the service at AF Noble. They did not break, damage or scratch anything, their billing was honest, they were prompt, and they saved me 1 hr labour when I told them I had just had the brakes done and did not need them inspected at 15000 mile service.

Ditto John Banks,
Won't go into the details, suffice to say I found AF Nobles service department to be extremely curteous, helpful, fair and honest. Very limited experience with T&C A'deen but was definately not impressed with how we were treated and will never set foot in there again.

I'll give Nobles a phone. I work in Glasgow, but I'm sure I'll be able to arrange some meetings in Edinburgh that day.

Thanks for the feedback.

Just phoned Robert at Nobles and have booked in for March.

Quoted £380 inc vat + I get the 10% SIDC discount on top.

I was quoted £380 from T&C but when I phoned back up to check they told me it was £420 - not the £380 they said to begin with. Not happy and they've lost me as a customer.

Thanks again for the feedback.
