SCUMBAGS STRIKE AGAIN!!!!
WARNING!!!!
This time they tried to steal my car.
Parked it right beneath the camera and still they tried and guess what the picture on the camera is so bad you can't make anyone out.
Reported it to the cops but they don't hold much hope of catching them.
Take care of your cars guys because they seem to be targeting Scoobys according to the cops.
Taken a week for Autoglass to replace my window but now it's done I can go find a new job as I told my employer to stick their job since they would'nt even contribute to replacing my window, which sucks considering they would'nt let me park my car in the yard even after my spolier being stolen.
cheers

Thanks Dan
Felt it my duty to warn fellow Scooby owners hopefully it won't happen to anyone else.
Sad thing is I'm so gutted and sickened by it I'm thinking of selling my pride and joy.
regards

Cheers for the replies guys.
Autoglass replaced my window an I think I've managed to clear the debris so all I need to do is find a set of electric window switches as thats the only other thing they damaged.
cheers

Sorry to hear about your car m8, had a few things nicked from mine recently.
Anyways, my point in posting is, simply to help a fellow scooby owner, if i can.
I live just outside Glasgow, and i have a standard classic wrx rear spoiler with brakelight, think it's 406 silver.
You can have it, if you need it......FREE
Drop me a pm, if i can help you out?

Its a sad state of affairs but the fact of the matter is if they want your car they're going to get it. I had a supra with cat1 alarm and imob on it and it still went , police said it was more than likely away on a low loader!
I've heard of people who have had their keys taken from inside their house so the best alarm in the world is no good if they have the keys and fob !
When I got my scoob i got it fitted with a pager alarm with 3 seperate imobs and anti tilt sensors , don't expect it to prevent someone form taking it but at least alert me and give a chance to try and stop it.
I've seen a few threads where people have even said a tracker proved useless as their cars were never recovered.
Brilliant now I've depresssed myself !

its surprising how easy it is to make a secondary imoboliser, i have done it on all my cars simple pick a key component eg fule pump, starter motor etc and build in a two pole switch. hide the switch some where inconspicuous (sp). my last car had switches for heated seat but didnt actualy have heated seats so wired it in there. just a small button under the dash will do. but as "kenny f" said if the want your car enough it is there's wether you like it or not!

mmm sting operation time. If the copshop aint going to do jack, it's time the vigilante in you was awakened. seriously though by chance years ago two of my friends walked past my xr2 when it was being broken into, and managed to keep stop the filthy ned from leaving the car,(his excuse was he knew the owner, car had failed mot and he was taking out the stereo and speakers!!!!) i turned up at same time as police lucky for him that was the 5th time in 3 months it had been broken into. Then what happened??? he got away with it lack of evidence!!!! how the F ? didnt even get community service it's at times like this i despair with our justice system.

There does seem to be quite a bit of scooby thefts and tampering going on at the minute. I have had quite a few alarm enquiries from people whos car has been targeted. Most of them seem to be in the west, i.e. Glasgow, motherwell, hamilton..
A simple yet quick way of adding an additional immobiliser is to remove the fuel pump fuse. Its highly unlikely that a thief would even start to look for it. They would be too interested in not getting caught.

Tershman, what's the spec for your car?
I've heard of at least another 2 classic scoobs being stolen from the Glasgow/Paisley area.
It's a MY98 UK classic I've got, which I take to work in Paisley every day.
Starting to get a bit concerned.

Lol Tershman same spec as me.
Sometimes you wonder if there's any point owning a nice car.
(Usually when you're stuck in nose-to-tail traffic.)
However, when you get onto the open road and press that loud pedal, you wouldn't swap the scoob for anything.
Don't sell it mate, you'd only regret it.
Let's hope you get things sorted out soon bud.

I know mate, I had my evo stolen about 8 months ago.
The guy who nicked mine apparently was a member of a gang in glasgow area nicking high performance cars.
Anyways he put mine into a field while getting chased by police.
dirty little scummy gits
