Question

Steve

I have put the feelers out to the boys. See if I can swap shifts for this one if the bu55er turns up. The guy on the opposite shift has had 51 days off this year so far. All depends on him m8

C'mon sing along, you all know the words :

To my surprise, yes! One hundred stories high
People gettin' loose y’all gettin' down on the roof - Do you hear?
(the folks are flaming)Folks were screamin' - out of control
It was so entertainin' - when the boogie started to explode
I heard somebody say :

Uh oh, Norms back

After last nights "I'll only be an hour on the computer dear" - 1 1/2 hours later meekly creeps down stairs..

Not sure if I can get away with it again!

Just to let you know, at the end of the first map we played, I had my 3 month old daughter sitting on my lap whatching me pay. It tended to impeed by skills somewhat. Also, I had a great clear shot on one terrorist, but as I swung around to shoot the lag was so bad that I just could not get on target

I did get one kill though at the same time he got me

Nimbus,

You wanna try it with a 7 (going on 8) year old jumping jack on your knee!!

Good to see you last night. A tip, try to walk or sort of half run, because the noise of you running gives away where you are.

You might try that in Counterstrike as well!

Barry,

Funny, I've been told that before I've tried the walk key, but I don't seam to move anywhere. I'll have a go a binding it to another key.

Neal,

Yep, I'll be there Sunday. I've got everything I need programme wise (thanks for Barry). But certainly have a chat about it!

Thanks also to who ever it was that taught me to speak last night!!

Oh yea, that was right. Thanks mate. I was trying to keep the typing down to a minimum.

How does the voice thingy work that Steve was using? Do I need a faster connection than my 56k dialup? I've got the headphone/speaker kit from my IBM Voice software...

There is a key assigned, you can change it I use the "e". You press the key and hold it down while you talk.

If you say something like can any one hear me, that's pretty useless.

Say lets shoot thes ba$tard$ or similar, that'll get a response.

Oh there is a mic set up prog in your cstrike (or Counter Strike) directory that lets you set up volume/gain etc.

Cool

voice makes CS 1.3.

gotta use it if we plan to play properly.

when i installed 1.3 it went thourgh a mic setup automatically ?

however as bazza says their is a voice_tweak.exe (i think) somewhere in your CS / HL directory now. try using it if u have voice probs.

Mike B,
a quick hint, well it worked for me. Disable the "Unimodem Half-duplex Audio Device" or something along the lines of that and the voice will work. Took me ages to work that out.

If I am around tonight and not busy, is it alright if I join in?

Thanks
H
