Knochill - dates for next year
#1
I've been organised this year, and booked up the circuit in advance. This means we have got some prime weekend slots (ie in the sunny season).
Sunday March 17th. Whole Day from 9am to 5pm with an hour for lunch. Cost £55 !!!!! (Special Winter Rates!)
Saturday 11th May, Morning session from 9am to 1pm. Cost £65
Thursday 20th June, Evening session from 6pm to 8pm. Cost £35
Thursday 15th August, Evening session from 6pm to 8pm, with BBQ afterwards in the Lodge, Cost £35, BBQ approx £10pp
Saturday 28th September, Morning session from 9am to 1pm. Cost £65.
All sessions will be open pit lane, with instruction available throughout the event as usual. We will hopefully have a tyre support van at most of the events, enabling people to swap wheels and tyres, buy slicks, new road tyres etc.
There will be reduced availability for the evening sessions compared to the half day and full day sessions, so you'll need to book early.
We’ll have a BBQ in the Lodge after the event in August, with approx £10 buying you as much food and soft drinks as you can consume.

Dougie - of course you can drive your car around the other side of the track to get photos and video. Why not venture out yourself this year though ?
With regards to other cars taking part, the priority ordering I use is as follows:
SIDC members with Imprezas
SIDC members driving other cars (I think almost all of the Elise owners are members now)
Members of other car clubs who invite us to their events and have supported us in the past (Elises/EVOs/TVRs etc)
Known individuals (usually ex-members) with other high performance cars.
Anyone else with a "suitable" car.
With a reduced number of slots available this year to guarantee quality track time (particularly the evening sessions), there will be very few (if any) slots available to those outwith the first few categories. However, I am happy to accept booking forms and cheques from people wishing to take part, on the understanding that they'll go on the reserve list until about a week before the event, and only then (if there are spaces available) would they be allocated a place.
This is the fairest way of treating members, and those who have supported us over the past few years

Pete,
would be great to see big red flying around the track
Track insurance - if you aren't covered by your road insurance (fewer people are these days), then we can arrange track cover for you through Egger Lawson for reasonable rates.
Sam - you'll be OK to book up straight away

Gareth,
you'll book these up through myself (I'll e-mail out booking forms after the hectic Xmas/New year period which you return with a cheque made payable to SIDC), or you'll be able to book and pay online using your credit card at the club shop (again probably in a few weeks time).
