Advance Notice - Scottish Detailing Day
Hi folks,
you may or may not have noticed the new car care section. I'm the sponsor, and I'm based in Aberdeenshire. In March, I am going to be holding a Scottish Detailing Day in conjunction with Star Performance in Fife. While Jim runs the rollers for those who can't resist, I'm going to be doing a demonstration detail and offering advice to whoever wants it. I'll also have most of the products from the store with me on the day if anyone wants to try them out. I'll post details of the date/time/venue once everything is confirmed, but it would be great to see some of you on the day.
Cheers
Rich

Date and venue finalised!
Folks,
Polished Bliss and Star Performance are holding a joint detailing/rolling road day on Saturday 18th March at Star Performance in Fife. Jim will be running the rollers from 9am - 3pm, £20 for FWD, £30 for 4WD, and will also supply the BBQ (bring your own food and drink). I will be helping Craig from Briskoda (Blackmagic) do a major detail his Fabia RS, plus giving demos on various detailing techniques. Most of the products in the store will be available to try out on the day, and I will also be holding a show n shine contest if the sun stays out long enough. Full washing facilities will be available (jet washer and foam gun), so no excuses for not turning up and entering - I'll make the prize a good 'un! Hope to see plenty of you on the day, there will be folk from 5-6 forums in attendance, so it could be a meet not to be missed.
Cheers,
Rich

Quit now please. This day is open to all, but seeing as I don't pay to advertise on SIDC I didn't want to be cheeky and post on there. However, I will be detailing JohnS's car on Sunday, and I will be asking him to spread the word on the SIDC forum, as everyone and anyone is welcome - we will have folks from Briskoda, Seat Enthusiasts, Detailing World, Scottish VAG, Audi Sport, maybe Civic Type R, and more. Perhaps someone could do the decent thing ans spread the word sooner by copying the details from above onto the SIDC forum? Many thanks.

You tried http://type-r-scotland.com/phpBB2/index.php as that's where the Scottish Honda boys are.
You'd be better off advertising with the SIDC as the majority of the Scottish (splinter group!!!!!!!!!! ) guys use the ScottishScoobies forum.
Please contact me offline if you wish to discuss further.

I may be speaking out of turn here, but, I am sure the guys who run SIDC would not have a problem with you posting over there. Seriously if you want some scottish scoobs there you are going to have to give them a heads up.
After all things echo in here . . . . . .

Wow, what can I say? Thank you to everyone who turned up from all of the forums present - Detailing World, Seat Enthusiasts, ScoobyNet, Briskoda and others - I've never seen that many cars at Star before, even on busy club RR days. Really a pleasure to meet all of you, very sorry the Fabia took so much of my time, will learn from it though, and will never attempt do an entire car again at a meet! Massive thanks to Clark and Mike from Detailing World for helping Craig and I with the Pcing, we'd still be there now if you they hadn't stepped in.
Sorry to those folks who I didn't get chance to have a decent chat with, look forward to doing so next time, and sorry for not making more of the products available for sale - again the Fabia rather killed time! Next time Angela will come along and run a stand, and with luck the next detailing day will be held in a couple of months time. Here's a few pics of mine... didn't get chance to do the normal process pics, too much to do, too little time!
