Read about my rather interesting Crail day here!
Coulty which Impreza were you in? If it was the white one we saw you come through Crail as we were waiting for the AA

There was a nice cool breeze, and very small queues.

Failed to get there due to shoddy workmanship....oops !
I got as far as the Esso station just before Crail when the car just died and wouldn't restart.
In my last minute rush this morning to fit the full throttle shifter, (after working night shift) I had trapped one of the maf/map convertor box wires under the ECU, this had chaffed through and shorted out on the mounting bracket, fooking it good n proper.
The next hour was spent trying to make up a 'get me home' setting for the ECU to let it run without any maf input, 50mph all the way home wasn't quite what I was hoping for today !

Nightmare Andy, was looking forward to seeing your car run too.
Coulty, I was driving an old shed of a Mk2 Astra.
Its a plaything really, mostly stripped and modestly tuned with a standard turbo lump.
2nd last run of the day with a chunky passenger on board was a 13.00
Best TV was 116.9 (twice)
Managed 19 runs, all in the 13's. Think I missed a gear on maybe two of those runs too.
15 of them under 13.5
Unfortunately the grip at Crail isn't quite up to Pod standards.
Could only do a 2.2 secs 60ft at best.
Managed a 2.0 at Pod at in June.
I think with Pod grip and no passenger, 12.7 at least is achievable with that old shed, possibly less. Thinking maybe 12.5 if I fiddle with the boost a little more
Not bad for a standard lump.
Didn't get beaten all day. Think I pissed off a few other rather more flash car drivers a little.
Think yours was the only scoob there all day
Shame

My best 60ft was 2.0. I think i could get into the high 12's at the pod (if i ever get there!) and if i was running full boost. Limited with the small TMIC and the target boost was way low. Once new bigger TMIC and cooler weather then 12's are mine.....Will be happy then!
What boost you running?
Aye i was the only scoob...pity bout andy...see ya next time though!

I was there in the wee reg Punto GT
My GF beat me on the day tho..... by 0.03 of a sec grrrr
I ran a 14.83, her a 14.80.....
Not bad for a 1.4 turbo running std turbo...
No luck Andy F what exactly are you driving these days anyway ?!?!?!?!
Kenny - you had a shocker

Coulty - You didn't seem to do many runs did you?
Guess you were worried with the top mount and warm temps.
I haven't found Pod any better for 4wd launches, I think because you get no wheelspin whatsoever. Have managed nice sideways launches at Crail though.
I think it is too easy to get the car to bog down at Pod because of this.
More likely to break something too....
Was holding about 1.35 Kg/cm2 boost, about 1.3 bar.
About the limit on a standard engine.
Thought I recognised the punto driver
Did you see that white Supra at the end of the day (being a supra person )?
Apparently the guy spent £19k on it.
Overfueling like hell and shockingly slow on the 1/4.
In his defence, he has only just got it and was clearly not used to it.
You don't know what Andyf is driving??? Have a look back at the Dastek posts!

It depends if its the kind of bird that wants to come with you to nag at you all day.
Maybe she asks "When we going home?" after about being there 10 mins.
If not your a very lucky guy.

Kenny - shoosh hehehe.... its her weight advantage.... She's a good 30kg lighter than me heheh
Russ - aye... i saw it going to crail on the back of a trailor... (may be it). I also nearly beat the black one hehehe.... he just passed me with about 10m to go. That damn punto is a quick wee bugger.
19k..... ptffff.... i nearly bought a big single turbo for 12k Ahh... just though... would it have been the old CRD white one, without the stickers?
