There are loads of non Scottish memebers who go to Andy for re-mapping m8, you would probably get more people if you posted this in the Group Buy section funily enough.

Scoty

(7 group buys under my belt in the last 4 years)

Andy will delete this no probs m8 if needed

OK guys, just to clarify the situation.

I have mapped many MY93-00 cars but until recently did not have the software to map MY01-04. That has now changed...however, although the engines are basically the same, the ECU's controlling them are completely different.
I'm not prepared to jump in and start custom mapping them until I have developed what I consider safe and powerfull base maps on my own MY01 car. (test and try before you buy !)
Over the next 6 weeks I am either busy mapping Apexi's or away on holiday so it will be October before the 01-04 cars can be prioritised.

In line with other EcuTek group buys, I proposed a limited group buy offer at £500.
This will be initially limited to 10 cars. The bonus here is that I am not yet required to be vat registered so no vat to add on this occasion

Andy

ps - JMC, I think Scoty meant he would delete his own post if i asked him. I have no probs with any of the posts though

The Apexi is a different pricing structure due to the hardware required and is only applicable to 93-00 cars. The price quoted was in relation to EcuTek for 99-04 cars.

Apologies for my ignorance, but what exactly is an EcuTek? Does the oem ecu get remapped or is another ecu installed. Also what mods should be carried out before the remap?

Thanks,
Graham.

Just posted this in the Group Buy thread -

So just to clarify:

Car - MY98 classic
ECU - Apexi Power FC
Supply? - Yes
Fit? - Yes
Map? - Yes
Location - Aberdeenshire

But if it's for ECUTek only then i'm stuffed.

I don't mind waiting however long it takes you to get through the waiting list though Andy.

Yes, Ecutek is a remap of the standard ECU. Usually it'll give you quicker spool up and higher boost levels than standard, without the associated risks of a badly adjusted dawes device.
Useful mods before remap - decat, boost gauge and knocklink.
However I had an ecutek put on a std car, and it made a noticeable difference without any additional mods.

All imho of course !

On the 3rd November Andy is coming up to Aberdeenshire to do a little work on a couple of local cars (mine being one of two). I'd be interested to hear from anyone else in the area that fancies having Andy work his magic on their car whilst he's up North?

As you all know he is renowned as one of the (if not thee) best mappers of the Apexi Power FC ECU (can supply these also) and i'm led to believe he also has an ECUTek wand to wave. Travelling costs for the day are £200 split between however many people decide to use his services. If we can get one more body it actually works out cheaper for Andy to come to us than it does for us to drive to Edinburgh and back!

Don't miss out on this opportunity guys.

Grant, Andy has said he only has enough time to do 2 cars on Wednesday. Those two cars being my own and another local car. However, it could be worth emailing him to double check? Escpecially as the other car is only having its map tweaked rather than the full works.

andyf9000@hotmail.com

From memory the price of an Apexi PFC supplied fitted and mapped was £700.

Let me know how you get on mate.
