Lightbulb Race Circuit at Edzell

There is a motorcycle race meeting at Edzell on Sunday 23rd.

I am going along to watch but what sprung to mind was the possibility of a track day there. There are several bike track days organised already but no car days that I can see from their web site. http://www.edzellracing.com/index.html

The track looks fast with several tight bends and three chicanes.

I guess the main reason I am posting this is that even though most readers will be car rather than bike enthusiasts, another curcuit in Scotland has to be a good thing and deserves support.

Defo interested in this if could organise something

Would need some fairly serious brakes to tackle the road race circuit though

Hi, Honda type R owner here.

We have thought about trying to arrange a trackday at Edzell for the last year, put off by the lack of numbers. If you dont mind a few Honda's there I reckon we could make up numbers

I am going to the bike race and have a couple of contact names to try to find out if a car track day is a possibility. The info will be passed to JohnS.

As for TypeRs at a SIDC track day it has happened before, variety is good.

Come on guys, another race circuit in Scotland, lets all get there and watch the bikes, the more paying punters there the better chance that the circuit will thrive and survive.

There was a rally there two weeks ago m8. I think Corsa was out. Missed it because I was out here in the North Sea.

Zeo :- 400 metre dash on the deck of an FPSO is possible !

Edzell sounds like a decent alternative to Crail by all accounts ?
Firm numbers as always is the killer

Death by FrontPage :- That Edzell website is a tad pish IMAO. Needs to look like a professional site to reflect the quality of the facilities. Perceptions though eh ? I've not even seen it yet and I'm put off ( temporarily )

CTR...I am on the Innovator and there is plenty of room on the main deck for an autotest. If it wasn't for all the containers and drillpipe.

Edzell....Fantastic but you do need big brakes for the end of those loooooonnnnnnggggg straights. We outbraked ourselves a couple of times.

Great venue and by all accounts the landowner is right into the motorsport side of things.Highly recommended
