STI-04

I'm assuming you're done something to the exhaust system on the STI.

Have you had the ECU remapped too? The STI's will overboost if you change the full exhaust system, causing all sorts of problems.

Get a hold of Andy F. He will fit and map an Apexi ecu for you. This way you can re-map each time you get more performance goodies for the mota. Or ECUTEK(Aberdeen or Nottingham) or the same as mine, Dastek Unichip, Dalgety Bay.

Andy was looking for £800 fitted and mapped(he supplies the ECU) Dastek was, I think, about £400, the ECUTEK I dont know.

Ecutek is about £750 inc VAT, Give Wallace in Aberdeen a call
As a temp fix to prevent overboost you can use a different restrictor in the boost solonoid pipework.
Spooks.

STI-04

The ECU can only re-learn so much and a decat exhaust system is just too much for it!

I went for the ECUTEK since it uses the OEM ECU and just modifies some of the maps, retaining all the factory safety features.

Not sure how the Apexi works but guess it's an add on to the original.

I am only going to remove one cat at the moment does this still mean i need a remap (full decat is coming shortly)

thought to be honest over the summer i am going to be modding her a good bit & i will be hoping to hit 350+

so whats your views on the remap & what do you think i should go for

cheers
