Question New 4wd rolling road Aberdeen?

Not yet, but likely in the near future.

How much interest/use would this get?

A friend has asked me to post on here and gauge interest.
It would be a fully specced, up to date piece of kit (with a very big cooling fan!!!!!!!! )
Knowledgeable operators.

Located at a multi-marque performance tuners, but rapidly becoming scoob specialists.

Thoughts?

Cheers.

Thumbs up

As russell said, as long as we got a good deal I am sure it would be very busy with the Subaru boyz.

Wink rollin road

so no discount for anyone as you can see this type of equipment is not cheap to buy so you would have to make it pay or bust

I'd be REALLY interested if it was quiet, and the room had been deadened.. Would save me having to hire the road out at MIRA for some car recordings..

I reckon it would be of great use and would get loads of business, especially with the amount of scoobs going around Aberdeen nowadays.

Hows the wee bike?

Default okay okay

Okay okay, it's leaked out, we're getting a 4wd dyno very shortly - ie up and working within the next three months. Wasn't going to tell anyone until I was 100% sure, well now I am.

Hows the wee bike?
LOL, the wee bike's still going well.

For all of you who doesn't know what the "wee bike" is, it's the wee bike that that sits outside my workshop. Goes really well!

Thumbs up Good idea but dont use maha

I hope you aint going for the maha unit?

I spent a lot of time looking into the feasibility of putting such a piece of kit into Aberdeen..

Imo the Dyno Dynamics RR is far superior- check this out

http://www.g-force-motorsport.co.uk/rolling.html

a far far superior piece of kit and what we were going to go for before the idea was shelved...

I have a contactand the prices are comparable even though it comes from Australia

Pm me for any info if you want

Excellent Gav, great step forward. I look forward to getting the scoob on. You best change your website to Subaru specialists.

They usually do both, a few runs on the road and a few on the dyno.

Using the dyno means less time doing 150mph on the road which can be very dodgy for the mappers to say the least.

Cool this means before & after performance sheets without using a tank of gas to get there !

Approx 8-10 weeks away

I'll be mapping the cars on the rollers as the setup I will have should be extremely close to road conditions.

I have looked at all (well most) of the RR's in the world and the Dastek one is by far the best I have seen.

I think (hope) this is what Aberdeen has been waiting for for ages and I hope that it can come in useful for you all.
