Sounds as if this wonderful dealer (with letters in the their name) is getting a really good reputation.

Maybe the HIGHLY trained staff should be commended - like those @ Skive in Flailkirk, which have a similarly EXCELLENT reputation.

NOT.

If you had steam coming out your vents and a strong smell of anti freeze what would you think? Heater matrix, rite? Took half an hour to convince them that was the cause as they said "heater matrix's don't go on the impreza".
They changed it, charged £769 for the pleasure, said they "checked the head gaskets". Month later it blew again, changed it again and tried to charge me £450 for labour, (G.T.F, I told them), and still tried to tell me the head gaskets were ok. They took the rubber seal off the header tank and told me to run it for a couple of weeks, it lasted 4 days.
The car was always manky when I got it back and the dash had been put in like a bad corner kick with broken plugs and loose wires all over the shop.
Took car to Greersport, within 2 seconds of arriving he told me head gaskets were gone. They fitted 2 new head gaskets and a heater matrix (second hand) for £500 all in. Also tidied up all the wiring and the dash is perfectly fitted.Car been perfect ever since.
So thats my story, and I think it justifies my comments of this certain dealer ship that shall remain nameleSS.

They found far worse things on that beach for example.

Was Brian I dealt with, not the most pleasent, forthcoming person in the world to put it nicely.

If you think they are rude to customers, you should hear how they talk to their staff.

Personally I'd tell them to stick their job.

p.s. Kieron - good guy!

Guys

Don't really know what the fuss is about, I've bought 4 cars from them and never had a problem once. When I have a fault with the car, they either book me in more or less straight away or they come to my house to pick the car up and put it back there when they're finished.

I agree with you about Brian, but he's old skool and I try not to deal with him myself. John is the man and you're also right about Kieron, top bloke and doesn't mess you about.

Suppose it's everyone to their own, some get good service, some get bad. I'll certainly keep on dealing with them and if I'm looking for another Subaru in the future, they'll be the guys I'll be going to.

Cheers

I went to them for some touch up paint. They only had a half full one which they gave me for free which was nice of them. I see that they offer a SIDC discount for servicing however (my local one at Eaglesham does not) given what I have just read, I think I will bodyswerve them.

What gave it away Allywrx? How do you know my brother? He actually lives in the "club" didn't you know? If Tyron knew you spelt his name with an "e" at the end he'll kill you! Coylton you live eh? Small village, might be opening a shop there quite soon.

Cheers

Hi Gordon

Probs the fact I used to see the P1 parked outsise the shop at Tams brig all the time (very nice by the way )
Many apologies about the spelling, I get it all the time myself.
I know him through Brian McPhie and Darren Cole, not seen any of them in while actually, was safe to say your bro was pretty far gone on Friday
Used to live in Prestwick but moved to sunny Coylton last year, glad about shop opening, bit of a pain going to Ayr all the time.
Do you still see Kenny (from chopsticks), I used to deliver for him back in the day, tell him Alistair (that used to work at Ingrams) says hi.

Kenny works in Glasgow now, and guess what? He's got a P1 as well! He used to come round to my place all the time and asked to get a shot of my car until one day I told him to get his own - And he did!

Kenny's got loads done to his and is very quick as well as loud, will mention you when I next see him (Thursday). I know Brian and Darren as well, works for Ferguslea? They're actually very funny guys, one's really loud and the other is quieter than a mouse!

Hi Gordon

I've seen Kenny's P1 a couple of times, haven't spoke to him since he has had it though. Kenny and his mate Brian (who had a light blue BMW then a wee white micra) are really sound guys.
The loud one woulda been Brian and the quiet one Darren, they are funny guys, we had some good laughs, but as I said, haven't seen em in ages.
Do you still have your P1? I have sold my scooby I think (Silver wagon with wee reg plate and Porsche style wheels, u seen it?) so I'm back to the old V dub roots for a while . Till I get another scooby anyway can't resist for long.

Ally
