Ooops it did it again ( but not by Britney, just me!)
Its at Dicksons in Dunblane where i bought her. I managed to source a bottom end out of a spec C that was split new. So thats getting fitted next week, Just hope the heads are ok. Going to stick a set of 550cc injectors in and get the fueling up as the std WRX ones were at their limit. I'm hoping that with a good map I can push for nearer the 400bhp mark this time. Was advised by Andy F to look at changing the turbo again to get that figure though! More money, would have been cheaper with a new STI9!

No, I'm ok on the warranty side. The garage was only going to build her back to WRX spec and the 297bhp that it was and find out why it blew up. But for the price they were getting the WRX btm end at I could get the spec C one for a tad more.So I'm going to pay the diference. It saves me having to shell out the full amount for the spec c at a later date, and it save me from building it myself. While they have the engine out they are going to fit the equall length manifolds and the light weight flywheel. I have the high pressure fuel pump so far but I'm still needing the bigger injectors and a regulator to get the bigger horses! Not sure if I'm sticking with the unichip or not. Been offered an Apexi setup thats fitted and mapped for £800. the good thing about that is its like the unichip in that it can be remapped with upgrades to the engine.
