The Scooby Wave?
WTF has happened to the commeradery (sp?) amongst the Scooby ownership? I remeber when I had my UK MY98, their were friendly waves abound. What happens now? Nothing, folk look at you, as if your daft. I've also had the bird, V's and ****** in return to my polite recognition of a fellow owner.
But before someone mentions it, yeah, they probably already know me!!

Your not wrong John.
When I got my first Subaru back in 97 - everyone waved.
Never see it now, but I'm as guilty myself for not bothering now.
Should we try to revive it, or is it a bit sad anyway?

I know I have waved to some guys and been blanked, then again I have missed some people too.
Gotta wave, its what sets us apart from other marques, yeh I spose it can seem sad but if we dont acknowledge each other then we are as bad as BMW drivers............ not a nice comparison really now is it
Oh and dont even think about saying new age drivers dont wave back I know that most of the cars that dont respond to me are classic owners. So if you see a MY01 rex, wave back please.
Spooks
BTW John, hope it wasnt me that blanked ya

OK - Agreed John - we all will wave from now on at any Impreza driver who sees us, even if they don't wave back!!
Let's bring back the tradition - Scooby Wave - in version 2, like Scoobynet (just not so colourful).

Does that include Sports?
OK I will be in the aberdeen area on Tuesday so I will wave to all Scoobs. Even the Justys. I will be in a blue classic wagon so I look forward to all the responses.

OK, I'll do my best to wave to every Impreza, including Sports.
Not waving to Sports is a bit like when I had my motorbike.
2 rules - never wave to a moped / scooter, and never wave to a learner.
Don't know who started it, but think it was part of the test.

Not many wavers in Glasgow/Ayrshire area.
Come on guys, help me out here! The missus thinks I'm the only one who actually waves, she thinks the whole wave thing was just made up - By me!

yeah I heard loads about this and tried it quite a few times with some success - then got mainly daft looks so I stopped. Now no one seems to bother.
I've had best success with cars of same shape - newer ones have never acknowledged me - ever.
However, I will try again!!

John,Kevin, and all,
I agree that there are those who have no idea why I wave but then there are those that have no idea why they bought a Scoob / Evo / Cossie or other perf. car in the first place. The majority of the people on this forum did not buy a scoob as an A to B car - it's more than that as we all know.
So I think the idea is Keep waving, If you get the bird or whatever then it's not us that are the *******, its the ****** giving the bird !! And usually they only bought their scoob cos it was Blue and they liked the colour!!!
they are usually jealous because they know that you could blow them off without really trying
EwanS
Ps John, You get the Bird cos we all know who you are !!! LOL
