Unhappy

Got a blow out on the A77 this morning... after the reduced speed limit section.. but the car drove so well i didnt need to stop till i was on the M77 but i think by that time the tyre was gubbed.
So as i work in the central scotland mecca that is Falkirk.. is there anywhere in town that any of you guys know of that'll be able to do the tyre and have a look under the car incase anymore damage has been done as i heard what i thought was a stone getting rumbled about the back wheel arch, and after i fitted the mountain bike spare there seemed to be quite a lot more road noise/rumbling coming from the back... i dont know if that was due to me listening more or a damaged diff or other.
I have read that Skidz do some good prices and Talizman mentioned mytres, and David Morrison isnt that far away but i would appreciate anyones opinion on these.

Ta Paul.

I think Skidz can get some tyres. Not sure about the costs though; cheapest places are usually the large mail order ones down south. There is MyTres in Glasgow, but you might be struggling to get someone local.

Skidz are one of the cheapest places for tyres, they easily beat the price i got from autoimage, good service aswell.

Just got my 4 Toyos from Skidz. Excellent service and prices. They will do anything to help but its the after service that counts, have dealt with them for years.
Give them a buzz and say you were speaking to Dave Allan

Cheers for the info lads, the guys at skidz were very helpfull and could have had the tyre for me by monday, and Morrisons were also able to get me the tyre for monday too but at £23.00 dearer than skidz. To be honest i really didnt want to drive about till then with the bmx spare on so i gave a friend of mine who works as a service advisor for a well known french car manufacturer... a call and he was able to get me the tyre cheaper and quicker than both of them so i was lucky there...

Thanks again all the same for the info cos my mate reakons i will need another 3 soon and the deal he got me yesterday wont always go un-seen by his employers.. unfortunately.
Paul.

Coulty it was for 205/50/16s auto image quoted me about £55 + fitting and skidz were £50 inc fitting. I also got 205/40/17 toyo's from skidz for £70 inc fitting + bal. Skidz are also good for price matching or undercutting they knocked £100 of a set of 17's and tyres for my focus.

I've noticed that recently skidz prices are getting higher, my m8 went for some 215/40/17 and was quoted 75 but i got them at the end of last year for 55 all in.
