Mods, please can this be left in the local section for a while?
Many thanks.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Sadly folks my time of evo ownership has to come to an end
I bought a house on wed last week and am finding it hard to justify having an evo sitting in the garage when there's a whole lot of modding to be done to the house to turn it into a proper bachelor pad!
So here it is:
1998 R Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 5 GSR
White
Full usual GSR upgrades inc Air con/climate control
5months tax
12months MOT
41k miles
Engine upgrades:
Uprated turbo of unknown origin
HKS stainless steel intercooler
Stainless steel Magnex Downpipe and cat replacement pipe (original downpipe and cat will come with the car for MOT puropses)
Full Blitz Nur-Spec stainless steel exhaust system (including bolt-in silencer)
Mocal Oil cooler kit fitted
HKS Mushroom Induction Kit
HKS SSQV Dump valve
Quickshift kit fitted to gear shift.
Japanese 112mph limiter removed
Blitz Turbo timer and performance meter
Recent standard clutch plates and cover fitted with uprated release bearings
Norris designs uprated fuel pump
Upgrade ECU with boost and fuel cut written out
Chassis upgrades:
Set of four 8 x 18in OZ Superleggera alloys in anthracite finish (immaculate, no kerbing)
Set of recent Hankook tyres (4k covered on them)
Set of Monster Sport Coilovers (fully adjustable ride and height)
HKS Pillowball mounts (full camber and toe in/out adjustment)
Front 3 point Strut-brace
Brakes:
330mm fully floating Dragon Autosport Special Discs (blue anodised bells)
Brembo four pot calipers fitted with racing grade (very hi temp) brake pads
Rear brake set-up remains standard
Interior:
As standard apart from set of 6 x 9 speakers in rear shelf but still under standard speaker grilles and set of front components
I may include the Sony Active Black head unit that has a steering column mounted mushroom remote
Bodywork:
As standard including lightweight aluminum bonnet and alloy spoiler
Paintwork has been machine polished and Diamondbrited by Diamond Auto Valet
I recently attended the MLR rolloing road day at Star and the car made a very respectable 350bhp @ Flywheel running just over 1.1bar of boost.
I also have the full workshop manuals for the car.
It has a full Thatchham Cat 1 alarm and immobiliser fitted too.
I hope this is of interest to someone. I'm not in any major hurry to sell as i'll be taking the car off the road for the winter but a sale sooner rather than later would be preferred.
Anyone who knows this car will be able to tell you how clean it is.
Please e-mail me for pics or further info and a price.
Best regards
James

Thanks Johnny,
I'll be gutted to see the car go but i have to be sensible now that i have a house. I did get a nice garage with the property tho so i'm sure it'll house a nice wee sportscar one day!
Thanks again for the comments

Steve,
That would be great if you could. I'm a bit of muppet with IT related issues and can barely post a clicky link let alone host some pics.
You help is much appreciated.
Thanks
James

Hi Robin,
Hope the Siberian cold isn't too bad........it'll be almost tropical weather over here compared with there at the mo i'm sure!
The sale seems to be going well. I've had a lot of interest and two locals have been round to see but not bought as yet. I think they just wanted a shot in one to be honest! There's a chap from Sweden who seems very keen so i'm keeping my fingers crossed.
The dash pic is of a friends car......honest!!
Hopefully speak to you sometime soon!
Cheers

Foz,
Much that i'm tempted by the weapon of a civic you have, i think something slightly more sensible will have to make do for the next wee while until i see how many 'bags of sand' are required to fully 'bachelorize' my house!
Cheers tho!

BTTT and a bit of a price drop to see if this'll push the sale along.
Thank the lord i'm not doing this as a business as i'd happily have murdered a few of the muppets that have come to view the car so far! Bloody timewasters! grrrr!
Cheers
