Welcome aboard the Club Calum, see you are the newest member :-) If you had been quicker you could have joined them on a track day today (wasn't along as mine is not insured at the moment) Link all thanks to our helpfull Scoobynet Moderator. Maybe Dougster will get a free year's membership of SS-R for posting it.
Pete - You should join up - You would do great business with the ace car boot sales you manage. Mind you the downside is that Moses seems to have taken over all the Forums. Maybe Dougster's been giving him a hard time on here. P.S. That Elise you sold me is still going strong despite Skye messing about with it.
And the comment about carless nobsters, so nearly true for me. Still have the Elise but not insured at the moment, but just a temporary setback (Bloody Tax Credit *******).

Hi Iain,
Good 2 see u back in here, u been in lo profile mode
LOL re car boot sales liked that 1 m8.
I was member 34 of that club m8, but when they started charging membership i dropped it. As i didn`t feel the membership was justified.
When the crailthrashers was setup we ran it for 2 years on a budget of virtually nothing. As everyone was a genuine enthousiast and prepared to muck in 2 get things done, put a couple of £ in the pot when it was needed, that was
not a pre requisit though. Yet we still managed to arrange member discounts, runs, events etc and most importantly everyone enjoyed themselves. Now if a club is charging for membership can they justify it ?? Do they have regular updates, a magazine, events, forums, some of the best track days, trips & venues ?
Anyway I`ll get off this topic, cos it rattles me (obviously)
If anyone is happy with the club they are in then as long as they are happy thats all that matters
