SIDC Glasgow/Ayrshire karting event.

It was great fun and thanks to those organising it. My Son enjoyed watching the action and crashes! I think he wants in on the next one!
I thought that the marshalling was too over zealous on 'racing moves' and missed actual wrong doing, but it is supposed to be fun anyway I guess!
My personal preference is for the outdoor track at Raceland if that is possible though it is nice to have an event on the West coast! One of the guys was saying that the petrol machines at Clydebank are more powerful.
Thanks again to the organisers.
Paul
PS Yes maybe 10 lap races would have been better perhaps?

Yep, good fun - thanks for organising it guys. A few dodgy overtaking manouvers by some of the less experienced drivers , but great fun none the less.
Hope you didn't mind me pulling out in front of you on the M8 Willie - I was about to get boxed in !!
A big thanks to some of you guys for letting Wendy beat you - very gentlemanly of you

A good day out indeed, with a very interesting track
I struggled going uphill with my weight, but seemed to makie up a bit of the time lost on the way back down.
I even won one of my races, though I did start from pole
One thing I noticed that was odd, was that in at least 3 of the races, I had the same person in front of me for each race, and the same person directly behind me for each race. As overtaking was difficult (well impossible for me ) on the tight track, it meant that I was racing the same people most of the time.
When can we go back again ?
John

Interesting observation John - I spotted a similar trend. Just the way the numbers/stats worked out I suppose.
Regarding going back I'd like to think we could organise another event in the early springtime - perhaps feb/march? Any dates to avoid?
Overtaking is pretty tricky and I think more than a few folk were caught out by making a single mistake and then being unable o recover from it within 5 laps... perhaps next time we'll try to vary the format to attempt to make it easier to recover when a mistake is made...?
Overall I'm glad to say that feedback has been very positive so I'm looking forward to the next one
