Iain,
Have been reviewing the video you kindly gave me from the Knockhill pax lap. Looks like the back end was still a bit twitchy
Cheers again, much appreciated
Cal
ps I didn't think the Skyline was pushin' very hard bty . Maybe his Sparco gloves gave him a false sense of invincibility

Yes he wasn't pushing it that hard though it was very twitchy in the corners. I think some of his electronic driving aids didn't help him. Spoke to him at the ned and his ABS decided that the braking distance left for one corner was not enough and he ended up down the far side of McIntryes rasing a cloud of dust which I spotted comming up the pit straight. AFter following him out of the pits I had the feeling that I might capture some interesting video so just hung around behind him and sure enough I was rewarded with the above clip :-)

Iain,
Was this after a few laps ?? I had a Skyline out a few weeks ago, and the tyres were going off badly after 7 or 8 laps. Not trying to make excuses for the guy, but it did seem like an unusual spin (although his line in was a bit weird !?!).

I think it was after about 3 laps. The car did seem hard to control in the corners and was wheelspining a few times. I think the guy was just getting used to it and he did better than I did when I had a go of a Skyline. Mind you that was round Kames and was scarry ****, probably more so for the owner who was standing at the start line watching. I'll just stick to my wee 120bhp Smartie.

Tyres should be ok after 3 laps, but maybe he was running remoulds or something
The only 'moment' I had in the GTR was at that same corner, when a MX5 came out the pits and was having a very slow out lap !! I caught him just at that corner and had to brake harder than normal to avoid catching him, and was still on the brakes when I turned in !! Had a similar left flick/right flick thing going on but managed to catch it.
In general I found it quite controllable, but really suffered when the tyres went off. Just like Gran Tourismo with tyre wear on !!!
Not the best track for big cars really - the P1 will be out next time I think (if I don't buy an exige in the mean time !)
