Found a set of halfords locking nuts for the old shape; while cleaning up yesterday.

They're not much good to me now, so I can bring them along to the next Knockhill session if someone wants them free of charge

Buggered if i'm posting them though

Cool

I'm just after the key really (in the off-chance it might be the same or similar combination to one I lost) !!

So how about I send a stamped jiffy bag to you along with some beer vouchers, and you chuck 'em in the post box ??

If they're no use to me, I'll send on to AlanG.

Let me know...

How no ready for Saturday? Won't take that long to carry out what you intend to do to the car.

Kart_man, sounds cool to me, but I have plenty of jiffy bags. But I wont be near any post offices for a while, so a few stamps wouldn't go a miss

I don't know how much they weigh either

I'll send you an email with my address

Alan,

I'm compensating for how long it might take to get the inlet welded. I know Davy's usually quite quick, but I don't know how busy he is this week.

Should probably take around 4 hrs to do the actual work involved to the inlet though

C'mon Scoty the boys can do it.

I've got a civic 1.6 atm and I don't fancy taking that to Kames.

Scoty

It took me an hour to make up the pipework to the shape i needed, but checking again and again to make sure it was right took a bit longer.
Once satisfied that positioning was okay, it only took half an hour to weld up and about an hour to make it look pretty.

Alan,

Was planning on taking the inlet off today when I got home from Stuarts, but it was too hot.

Had some tea, then when to try again, but I could still feel the heat on my face. Also with the new uprated fuel pump, I've "read" that it is good to leave the car for a couple of hours after running to let the fuel pressure drop.
Got to go to lab classes tomorrow and Friday, so I won't get anything done till Saturday now.

Are you in Glasgow tommorrow or Friday?

Bit awkward during the day to meet up cause of work commitments but Friday evening / Saturday should be fine.

If you slacken off the fuel pipe hose and *bleed* the pressure away, you'll be fine, but yes indeedy, fine words in relation to letting the pressure drop off over time.
