Lo all,

Just got a Magnex 6x4 ovel full cat back system fitted..sounds very good when driving the car hard but the drone at 70 on the motorway is utterly unbarable.........how do you all put up with the noise....or does it get a wee bit quieter when it gets coated......if it doesnt get quieter any ideas if there is anything i can do to baffle the sound down a bit............
wife will kill me if this is it ......

Wotcha m8

I have a powerflow back box on my 2.0GL which drones like mad at motorway speeds.

I find the best solution is to crank up the stereo!

Best of luck finding a solution.

On my old Sport, I fitted the 3rd NA backbox Scoobynet had made - and it was really, really, really loud. Indeed when I first a Turbo with an aftermarket exhaust, I couldn't believe how quiet it was! Great for setting off car alarms and making popping/banging noises when slowly down

First thing in the morning on the commute it did get wearing

Scoobers, It cant be that loud as I havn't heard it ( Forfar Area).
My Turbo Wagon has a 5" Rage BBox and is well known round about due to the sound.

Get some sound-proofing done.

I have two layers under boot carpet, two layers under rear carpets and one under the fronts.

Still put the windows down to listen to full de-cat though!!
